נהניתי מה שהודיעני שקרא לבתו תחי' שם ביום ה', ועל פי מה שסיפר לי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ שפעם בהוולד אחת מבנותיו של כ"ק אדמו"ר האמצעי, קראו אדה"ז ואמר לו שאף שיש טעם הנותן מקום לומר לחכות בקריאת השם עד קריאת התורה דש"ק, בכ"ז מפני טעמים ידועים אין לעשות כן, ויקרא שם לבתו ביום הקריאה הקרוב ליום הלידה.
ומזה שסיפר לי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ ענין זה בנוגע לאיש פרטי כאן, הרי זה הוכחה שזוהי הוראה כללית לכל*.
כבקשתו נרשם גם שם בתו תחי' בספר החיים והאור.
המחכה לבשורות טובות ובפרט מבריאות הנכונה של זוג' תחי' ושל בתו הנולדה להם למזל טוב ובנם שי',

In addition to the telegram, I hereby repeat my Mazal Tov blessing for the birth of your daughter... may she live, and may you merit to raise her to Torah, marriage, and good deeds with abundance.
I was pleased to hear that you named your daughter on Thursday. Based on what my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m, told me—that once when one of the daughters of the Mitteler Rebbe was born, the Alter Rebbe said that although there is a reason to wait until reading from the Torah on Shabbat to name her, nevertheless for known reasons one should not do so but rather name her at the Torah reading closest to her birth—this story was told to me regarding a specific individual here. This is proof that it is a general directive for everyone.
As you requested, your daughter's name has also been entered in the Book of Life and Light.
I await good news, especially regarding your wife's proper health and that of your newborn daughter (Mazal Tov), as well as your son. Blessings to you and your entire family.

* In Sefer Taamei HaMinhagim vol. 4 p.75 he brings: "I heard in the name of the righteous etc. from Belz" to name a girl after five days etc.—see there—and who knows if this report is true. In any case, we have only our leaders' directives. See Sefer HaMinhagim section 969.
