In response to your letter from the 38th day of the Omer and also the information via telephone.
I am surprised at him, for even though you have seen in your personal life—and all the more so in the lives of others—the wonders of Hashem, and at times even when no solution was visible, still the situation changed for the good to such an extent that one wondered and regretted why one was previously in a state of melancholy.
And it is well known, as the wise saying goes, that "the past teaches about the future," and therefore one must be strong in trust that "Kol Ma D'avid Rachmana L'Tav Avid" (everything that the Merciful One does is for good), and over time one merits an even higher level—that "Gam Zu L'Tovah" (this too is for good; meaning this itself is a good and not just a cause for good), as is known the difference between the story of "Kol Ma D'avid Rachmana L'Tav Avid" (Berachos 60b) and the story of "Gam Zu L'Tovah" (Taanis 21a).
Awaiting good news and signing with blessings to receive the Torah with joy and inwardness.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches us to strengthen our trust in G‑d by recalling past wonders and recognizing that every situation—even those which seem difficult—ultimately leads to good. This perspective brings inner peace and joy.
