במענה על מכתבו מג' אייר. בו כותב אודות מצבו והקישויים השונים בהשגת משרה.
הנה מה שתולה זה בדתיותו שעי"ז החפשים רודפים אותו. הנה כבר ידוע ברכות המזון שהוא מן התורה אשר דוקא הקב"ה הוא זן ומפרנס את הכל ובמילא גם הוא בכלל ומה יעשה לו אדם כשהקב"ה רוצה לפרנסו, ובמילא מובן שאם ישנם קישויים בפרנסה הרי זה תלוי במעשיו ולא ברצונו של בן אדם שאין לו תשועה, וכשמוסיפין בלימוד התורה וקיום המצות אזי מוסיף הקב"ה ברכותיו הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות וכמרז"ל כל המוסיף מוסיפין לו, ואף שכל הנ"ל פשוט הוא בכל זה העליתי זה על הכתב כיון שכנראה ממכתבו לפעמים יש אצלו מחשבה שאחרים שליטה להם עליו בנוגע לפרנסתו.
בהנוגע ל... תחי' הנה צריך הי' לברר בהקדם הנהגתה בדיני טהרת המשפחה והעיקר בנוגע למקוה שתהי' מקוה כשרה בהידור ע"י מי גשמים או מי מעיין, אבל לא ממימי העיר ח"ו, הם העוברים דרך כמה כלים מודדי מים וכו' וכשתזהר בהנ"ל כדבעי בטח יוטב ג"כ מצבם המשפחתי והשי"ת יזכהו ויצליחו לבשר טוב בכל הנ"ל.
לפלא שאינו מזכיר ע"ד שיעוריו בלימוד תורת החסידות נוסף על לימודו בנגלה דתורה.

In response to your letter from the 3rd of Iyar.
You write about your situation and the various difficulties in obtaining a position. You attribute this to your religiosity, saying that because of it, the irreligious persecute you. It is already well known from Birkat HaMazon, which is from the Torah, that specifically the Holy One Blessed be He is the One Who nourishes and sustains all—and therefore you are included as well. What can a person do when Hashem wants to provide for him? Thus, it is understood that if there are difficulties in livelihood, it depends on one’s own actions and not on another person’s will—who has no salvation to offer. When one increases in Torah study and mitzvah observance, Hashem increases His blessings both materially and spiritually—as our Sages say: "Whoever increases [in good deeds], they increase for him." Even though all this is simple and obvious, I have written it out since it appears from your letter that sometimes you think others have control over your livelihood.
Regarding ... tichyeh: It was necessary to promptly clarify her conduct in the laws of family purity—especially regarding the mikveh—that it should be a kosher mikveh with extra care using rainwater or spring water, but not city water G‑d forbid (which passes through many measuring devices etc.). When she is careful about these matters as required, surely their family situation will also improve, and may Hashem grant you merit and success to share good news about all of the above.
It is surprising that you do not mention anything about your classes in studying Chassidus in addition to your study of Nigleh (revealed Torah).

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that no one can interfere with what Hashem provides; livelihood comes only from Him. Strengthening Torah study and mitzvah observance brings increased blessings both materially and spiritually.
