Shalom u'Vrachah!

I am writing to introduce to you the bearer of this letter, the esteemed Haraha"ch Vavac"h Iy"a, a man of elevated character traits, etc., Mohar"m HaKohen, whom I have known for many years. My request is twofold: to assist him as much as possible in obtaining the certificate he requires according to the agreement of my father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita, as he will explain in his conversation. It is self-evident that there is no concern here regarding any issue of prohibited benefit.

This can be explained according to what is written in Likkutei Torah on this week's parsha in the discourse "Beshivri Lachem," that words of rebuke are actually blessings. As it says: 'Vekashlu ish be'achiv...' (And they shall stumble one man over his brother...), and our Sages said (Shevuot 39a): 'Ish be'avon achiv' (one because of his brother's sin), for all Israel are guarantors for one another. The blessing here is that one can benefit another since they are intermingled and connected with each other, and one does this wholeheartedly because all Israel are guarantors and pleasant to each other—as explained in Chassidus regarding the three interpretations of 'Kol Yisrael areivim zeh lazeh' (all Israel are responsible for one another) brought in Chassidic teachings. Especially since the reward is very great, as our Sages said in Vayikra Rabbah on last week's parsha: more than what the host does for his guest...
