Shalom u'Vrachah!

To the Haraha"g veHaraha"ch vavac"h iy"a those who have gone into exile after exile (afflicted doubly), may they merit redemption after redemption (comfort doubly), the Temimim and all those attached to them.

I received your letter from the beginning of the month of Shevat with pleasure, and thank G-d that He has kept us all alive during the awesome time that passed over the congregation of Israel. (See what is written in Kuntres Sfas Emes at the end—at the end of Emes L'Yaakov—that before the coming of Mashiach there must be a general "separation" lasting seventy years; this is the matter of Chevlei Mashiach, etc.)

And He Who gives life will surely grant us sufficient strength and sustenance both materially and spiritually, so that we can all fulfill our individual missions according to our situation and ability—and collectively as well—for all Israel are guarantors—and intertwined—with one another.

I have been informed about your activities in your place over all these past years; they are many—especially considering the local conditions of place and time. All the more so regarding what you can now accomplish since circumstances have improved. And it is certain that an emissary—from Above—fulfills his mission.

I will conclude by returning to the opening topic regarding "separation," whose purpose (even on a simple level) is to bring about a restoration of face-to-face connection—which occurs on Friday afternoon—and afterwards a union face-to-face—which takes place on Shabbos day. So may it be His will: that the revelation of the light of Chassidus—the inner dimension of Torah—will help draw down from the innermost essence of Ein Sof blessed be He, so that it shines within our souls and we behold His countenance directly, as explained in Likkutei Torah on Ki Sishma B'Kol and also in the sichah of Yud-Tes Kislev 5692.
