הצעק שלו להמרכז לעניני חינוך בעתו נתקבל, ומצורף בזה הקבלות, ואתו הסליחה על אשר, מפני רוב הטרדות, נתאחר הדבר עד עתה.
על יסוד מה שדבר אתי בהיותו פה, אשר חפץ הוא להשתתף בהוצאות הדפסת הספרים - ספרי חסידות דא"ח - היוצאים לאור על ידינו שתפתי אותו אם יסכים לזה, בהדפסת הקונטרס "תורת החסידות" בסכום של עשרים וחמש דולר ובהדפסת הקונטרס "עץ חיים" בסכום של שלשים וחמש דאלאר, - קונטרס תורת החסידות הנני שולח לו בחבילה בפ"ע, קונטרס עץ חיים עדיין לא נגמר בדפוס וכשיוגמר יושלח לו.
נמצאים עתה בדפוס עוד ספרי חסידות, אבל אנשים אחדים התנדבו לתת את הוצאות ההדפסה ולכן איני יכול לשתפו בזה.
אשתמש בהזדמנות זו לבקשו להחזיר לי את "הרייד" מחג הפסח אשר לוויתי לו זה מכבר.
בדיני חג הפסח שאודותו מדבר בסדרה דשבוע זה, מסיים (פ' בא יג, ה) והגדת לבנך, וזה מלמדנו לדעת, אשר כמו בזמן צאת ישראל ממצרים הזהירם הקב"ה על ההשתדלות להגיד להבן ולהבינו את ענין התורה והמצוה, ואמרו לפי דעתו של בן אביו מלמדו (פסחים פ"י מ"ד) היינו שצריך להתבונן במהלך נפש המחונך ולחפש הדרכים איך לקרבו, כן הוא בכל עת וזמן, שבכל יום יש ענין יצי"מ, עיקר גדול הוא ההשתדלות שגם השני, מי שיהי', יתקרב לתורה ומצות אם ע"י שידבר אתו בפה או ע"י דברים הנכתבים או הנדפסים שהשתתף בהוצאתם לאור...
ויהי רצון שיקבל רוב נחת ועונג מכל ב"ב ויגדלם לתורה לחופה ולמעשים טובים.

Your letter to the Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch was received in due time, and attached here are the receipts. Please accept my apologies that, due to many preoccupations, this matter was delayed until now.
Based on what you discussed with me when you were here—that you wish to participate in the expenses of printing books—Chassidus texts—published by us, I suggested that if you agree, you could participate in printing the kuntres "Torat HaChassidus" with a sum of twenty-five dollars and in printing the kuntres "Etz Chaim" with a sum of thirty-five dollars. The kuntres Torat HaChassidus I am sending you separately in a package; the kuntres Etz Chaim is not yet finished at the printer and will be sent to you when completed.
There are currently other Chassidus books being printed, but several individuals have already volunteered to cover those printing costs; therefore I cannot include you in those projects.
I take this opportunity to ask you to return to me "the Raid" from Pesach which I lent you some time ago.
In the laws of Pesach discussed in this week's parsha (Parshas Bo 13:5), it concludes: "VeHigadeta L'Vincha" (And you shall tell your son), which teaches us that just as at the time of Yetzias Mitzrayim (the Exodus from Egypt) Hashem commanded them to make an effort to explain to their children the meaning of Torah and mitzvah—and our Sages say: "According to his son's understanding his father teaches him" (Pesachim ch.10 m.4)—meaning one must consider the nature of the child being educated and seek ways to draw him close—so too at all times and eras. Every day has its own aspect of Yetzias Mitzrayim; it is a fundamental principle that one must strive so that another person—whoever they may be—should come closer to Torah and mitzvos, whether by speaking directly or through written or printed words whose publication one helped support...
May it be G-d's will that you receive much nachas and delight from all your family and raise them for Torah, marriage under the chuppah, and good deeds.
