הנה בכלל כפי הידיעות בענין ההסתדרות בקנדה בפרנסה גשמית, אינה בנקל כ"כ, וזה מכבר שכתבתי לאיזה מאנ"ש מצרפת אשר מהנכון הי' במאד שישתדלו להעתיק ולהסתדר במאראקא (כמובן באחת משני הערים ששם נמצאים מוסדותינו, היינו מעק[נ]אס או קאסאבלאנקא) באוסטרליא או בדרום אמעריקא, אשר כפי הידיעות המתקבלות ובאות משם, אפשר להסתדר שם בפרנסה גשמית, ונמצא שם ג"כ כר נרחב לפרנסה רוחנית, וכבר באה העת אשר - כלשון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר - אנ"ש שי' האבן זיך געדארפט אריינטראכטן אין דעם ענין פון הפצת המעיינות חוצה ולידע אז דאס מיינט מען טאקע אונז, הגם יעדערער בא זיך נופלת לו השאלה, מה אני ומי אני, הנה האמת הוא אז דאס איז ניט אונזער זאך צו טראכטן אזוי, ווארום וויבאלד אז מען האט אונז אריינגעשטעלט אין דעם דור, ווס עס איז הנה זה עומד אחר כתלינו ומחכה לסיום ענין כד מטי רגלין ברגלין, ולהביא מעיינות דא"ח אפילו בחוצה זה, שעד עתה לא הי' שם, הנה בכח עצמות ומהות א"ס ב"ה שמסר לנו את דברו ע"י עבדיו הקדושים כ"ק רבוה"ק, הנה בכל זה נלך בהשליחות ונצליח.
כמובן, אין כהנ"ל סתירה להשתדלות להשגת ניירות לקאנאדא או למק"א.

You ask in your above-mentioned letter, having submitted papers to move to the country of Canada, and you seek my opinion on this matter. In general, according to information regarding settling in Canada for material livelihood, it is not so easy. Some time ago I wrote to some of Anash from France that it would be very proper for them to try to move and settle in Morocco (obviously in one of the two cities where our institutions are found—meaning Meknes or Casablanca), Australia, or South America. According to the information received from there, it is possible to establish oneself materially there, and there is also a broad field for spiritual livelihood.
The time has already come—as my father-in-law the Rebbe said—that Anash should have begun thinking about the matter of spreading the wellsprings outward and know that it truly refers to us. Even though everyone asks themselves: 'Who am I and what am I?'—the truth is that it is not our concern to think this way. Since we have been placed in this generation—which is "Hineh zeh omed achar kosleinu" ("Behold, he stands behind our wall") and waits for the completion of 'when the feet touch feet,' and to bring the wellsprings of Chassidus even into those outer places where they have not yet reached—by the power of Atzmus u'Mehus Ein Sof Baruch Hu (the Essence and Being of the Infinite One, blessed be He) Who gave us His word through His holy servants our holy Rebbes—in all this we go on our mission and succeed.
Of course, none of the above contradicts making efforts to obtain papers for Canada or elsewhere.
