א) בלמדו תניא סוף פרק א' אודות מקור נפשות האומות אינם יהודים ושואל בהנוגע לנפשות חסידי אומות העולם.
נפשות חסידי או"ה נלקחים מנוגה כמבואר בכמה מקומות בדא"ח ומהם בהנדפסים בלקוטי ביאורים על קונטרס התפעלות דף מ"ז, עמוד ד'. וראה ג"כ זח"ב צה: ואילך.
ב) איך הוא בגר שנתגייר, אם נשמתו נשארה כמו שהי' בגויותו.

בודאי יודע מהתקנה השוה לכל נפש לאמר בכל יום אחר התפלה שיעור תהלים - כפי שנחלק התהלים לימי החודש - וכן ללמוד פרשה חומש עם פירוש רש"י מפרשת השבוע ושומר תקנות אלו שהם סגולה גם להצלחה בלימוד תורת הנגלה ותורת החסידות.

In response to your questions in your letter:
a) When learning Tanya at the end of chapter 1 about the source of souls of the nations who are not Jewish, you ask regarding the souls of the righteous among the nations. The souls of the righteous among the nations are taken from nogah, as explained in several places in Chassidus, including those printed in Likkutei Biurim on Kuntres Hispa'alus page 47, column 4. See also Zohar II, page 95 and onward.
b) Regarding a convert who has converted—does his soul remain as it was when he was a non-Jew? G‑d forbid to say so! It is obvious that he receives a soul of holiness. This is also one explanation in our Sages' phrase: "A convert who converts is like a newborn child." See also the introduction to Sefer HaZohar page 13a and beginning of column b regarding the source of converts' souls.
You surely know about the universal practice to say daily after prayer a portion of Tehillim—as divided according to the days of the month—and also to study a section of Chumash with Rashi's commentary from the weekly Torah portion. Observing these practices is also a segulah for success in learning both revealed Torah and Chassidus.
