Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 28th of Adar Sheini, I was surprised by your question regarding the public class you teach in Ein Kerem near Jerusalem, asking whether to continue since although the listeners are very satisfied, it takes almost half a day twice a week.
I am astonished, for it is explained in many places in our Sages' words and especially in Chassidus—primarily in the saying of the Baal Shem Tov—that a soul descends below for seventy or eighty years just to do a favor for one Jew once, whether physically or spiritually. Yet you still question whether it is worthwhile to invest half a day twice a week to merit several Jews—tens of Jews—by bringing them closer to Torah, mitzvos, and awe of Heaven.
Certainly you should continue this also in the future; on the contrary—as our Sages rule regarding matters of holiness: one must always increase. Surely in these classes you emphasize practical halachos and matters relevant to daily life since action is primary; but for action to be as it should be, it must be preceded by study. Special emphasis should be placed on awe of Heaven and Ahavas Yisrael, as explained in Chassidus and brought into practice through its guidance and conduct.
Certainly you will also strive properly in all the above. The great merit of your involvement will draw proper health for you, your wife, and your entire family.
As requested, I will mention all those you wrote about when I am at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal.
Blessings for a kosher and joyous Pesach.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that investing significant time in public Torah classes is invaluable; even if it requires great effort, bringing others closer to Torah and mitzvos is among life's highest purposes and brings blessings for health and success.
