ת"ח על הבשו"ט מהצלחת הבאנקעט בכלל. מובן שמצער זה שהי' בחלישות מצב הכספי שבדבר, והרי זהו כסף המביא גם לכסף ברוחניות אהבת ה' דלית פולחנא כפולחנא דרחימותא. ובודאי כמנהג באנקעטין, יש להשתדל למלאות עכ"פ במדה מסוימת גם עתה, על יסוד הרושמים מהבאנקעט, וק"ל.
במ"ש אודות בנין ביהכנ"ס "קדימה", שיש מקום לומר שיעמוד למכירה, אם להתענין בזה.
ידועה שיטתי בכגון דא שנכון הדבר, ובפרט בשנה זו שנת ופרצת, שנת השמיטה שבת לה' משבית מן המזיקין וכו', בשובה ונחת תושעון, תענוג ומקור התענוג (ראה הצ"צ לתהלים עה"פ מזמור שיר ליום השבת, עיי"ש היטב), אלא שמובן שצריכים להתיעץ באופן חשאי עם המקורבים בענין זה מאנ"ש דספרינגפעלד, ולאחר זה לבוא בקישורי דברים עם מרכז תו"ת. ומובן שנכון להתדבר גם עם בוסטון שעשו כהנ"ל, ואין חכם כבעל הנסיון.

בשאלת... בענין נתינת שם לנכדו אשר יולד, בכלל ידוע בזה הוראת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע אשר קביעות השם להילדים צריך להיות על ידי ההורים שיחיו, וכזה הי' עונה כשהיו שואלים אותו בכגון דא.
וטעמו מובן עפ"י המובא מהאריז"ל שהשם הניתן להילד הוא עפ"י ההתעוררות מלמעלה לההורים לכוין לשרש הנשמה בגופה, וכמבואר בשער הגלגולים ובעמק המלך.
בכ"ז כיון שהנ"ל עורר חשש בהשם אודותו כותב, ובכלל אמרו דדוקא אמאן דלא קפיד לא קפדינן, למה להם ליכנס לחששות.
כיון שכותב שהנ"ל נתגדל אצל חסידי חב"ד מלפנים, תקותי חזקה שיש לו קביעות עתים בלימוד תורת החסידות וכהוראת רבנו הזקן קביעות לא רק בזמן כ"א גם, והוא העיקר, בנפש, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.

In response to your letter from Rosh Chodesh Nissan. Thank you for the good news about the overall success of the banquet. It is understandable that it is distressing there was some weakness in the financial situation regarding this, but this is money that also brings to 'money' in spirituality—love of Hashem, for there is no service like the service of love. Certainly, as is customary at banquets, one should strive to fill at least to some extent even now, based on those who registered at the banquet. This is clear.
Regarding what you wrote about the building of the "Kadima" synagogue—that there may be an opportunity to purchase it and whether to get involved: My approach in such matters is known—that it is appropriate to do so, especially this year which is "Ufaratzta," a Shemittah year—a Sabbath for Hashem which ceases harm and so forth; "in returning and tranquility you shall be saved," pleasure and the source of pleasure (see tzt"z on Tehillim on Mizmor Shir LeYom HaShabbat; see there well). However, it is understood that one must consult discreetly with those close to this matter among Anash in Springfield, and only afterwards enter into discussions with Merkaz Toharas HaTorah. It also makes sense to speak with Boston who did similarly; there is no one as wise as one with experience.

Regarding your question about giving a name to your grandson who will be born: In general, it is known that my revered father-in-law the Rebbe zatzal taught that naming children should be done by their living parents. This was his answer when asked such questions. The reason is understood according to what is brought from the Arizal—that the name given to a child comes through an awakening from Above for the parents to direct it according to the root of the soul in its body—as explained in Shaar HaGilgulim and Emek HaMelech.
Nevertheless, since you mention concern about this particular name: In general they said that only someone who is particular needs to be concerned; why enter into doubts? Since you write that he was raised among Chabad chassidim previously, I strongly hope he has set times for learning Chassidus as our Alter Rebbe instructed—fixed not only in time but also—and mainly—in one's soul; nothing stands before true will.
