In reply to your letter of the second day of Rosh Chodesh MarCheshvan: it is surprising that you write that precisely on Shemini Atzeres and Simchas Torah the number of worshippers was smaller than on the preceding festivals, although the custom in other places, in the United States too, is the reverse. Surely it was publicized that hakkafos would be held, etc.

I was pleased that you are trying to make the yeshivah building a center for all matters, and surely you will reflect further on what is still to be done in this: that in the city and its surroundings it should become known that this building is central, and that in it one finds a solution and encouragement for all matters of Torah and Judaism. And surely you will find the way nevertheless to hold farbrengens from time to time in the homes of Anash, in order to draw the light and warmth into the home too, directly, without intermediaries.

It is surely unnecessary to remind you that the library should also be in the above building, as well as the center of Agudas Nshei U'Bnos Chabad and also the center of Agudas Chabad at large. And as is customary in several places, a place for notices should be made in the corridor there, through which everyone who comes will learn of the various classes given, where kosher meat is to be found, etc. And surely, even with slight reflection, you will find several more things that will help in this.

It is surprising that you mention nothing about girls' education, the holding of Shabbos gatherings, etc.

Awaiting good news of actual activities, and of change, in practice, in the matters you mention in your letter.
