בכלל יעדער איד, און בפרט איינער וואס האט געלערנט אין א ליובאוויטשער ישיבה, דארף זיך שטענדיק און אומעטום באטראכטן אלס א שליח פון דעם אויבערשטן ית', וכמרז"ל (סוף קדושין) אני לא נבראתי אלא לשמש את קוני, און דארף זיך באמיען משפיע צו זיין אויף חברים אידן אז זיי זאלן אויך קומען צו דער הכרה.
אזוי ווי איר געפינט זיך אין... ובפרט אין א קרייז פון אידישע סטודענטן, וואס פיל פון זיי בלי-ספק נויטיקן זיך אין גייסטיקע הילף, האף איך אז איר וועט עס האלטן פאר אייער תפקיד צו מקרב זיין [זיי] צו תורה און מצוות אין טאג-טעגלעכן לעבן. און בשעת דער אויבערשטער גיט אימיצן א תפקיד דורכצופירן, גיט ער אים אויך די כוחות דורכצופירן זיין שליחות, און דאס איז בלויז אפהענגיק פון רצון הטוב.
סטודענטן פון מעדיצין בפרט, נעמענדיק אין אכט אז אפילו די וויסנשאפט אנערקענט איצט די וויכטיקייט פון 'הערעדיטי' אין מענטשלעכן לעבן, דארף מען זיי מסביר זיין אז דער געזונט פון דער נשמה בא א אידן איז פארבונדן מיט דער תורה ירושה פון דער צייט פון מעמד הר סיני, און א איד קען ניט זיין גייסטיק געזונט און גאנץ אויב [ער] ווערט חלילה אפגעריסן פון דעם מקור מיט וועלכע זיינע עלטערן און זיידעס זיינען במשך פון אומצייליגע דורות געווען ענג פארבונדן.
געפינענדיק זיך אין א סביבה וואו מען דארף אנקומען צו סייעתא דשמייא אויסצוהיטן זיך פון דעם 'לעומת זה', איז אזוי ווי מדתו של הקב"ה איז מדה כנגד מדה, במילא דורך דעם וואס איר וועט מקרב זיין אנדערע צו תורה און מצוות, וועט השי"ת אייך געבן כוחות נוספים דורכצומאכן אייער וועג בדרך התורה והמצוות ביראת שמים וקבלת עול צו פילן שטענדיק ואני קרבת א' לי טוב.

I received your pidyon nefesh through Rabbi Gerlitzki, in which you ask to be mentioned for success in your studies to become a doctor who observes Torah and mitzvos. I will mention you at the tziyun of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, at an auspicious time.
In general, every Jew—and especially one who has learned in a Lubavitcher yeshiva—must always and everywhere view himself as a shliach (emissary) of the Alm-ghty, as our Sages say (end of Kiddushin): "I was created only to serve my Creator." He must strive to influence his fellow Jews so they too come to this recognition.
Since you find yourself among... and especially in a circle of Jewish students—many of whom undoubtedly need spiritual help—I hope you will consider it your mission to draw them closer to Torah and mitzvos in daily life.
When the Alm-ghty gives someone a mission to fulfill, He also gives him the strength to carry out his shlichus; it depends only on good will.
Medical students in particular—considering that even science now recognizes the importance of heredity in human life—should be explained that the health of a Jew's soul is connected with the Torah inheritance from the time of Matan Torah at Sinai. A Jew cannot be spiritually healthy and whole if he is (G‑d forbid) cut off from the source with which his ancestors were closely connected for countless generations.
Being in an environment where one needs special help from Above to guard against negative influences—it is just as Hashem's trait is measure for measure; therefore, by bringing others closer to Torah and mitzvos, Hashem will grant you additional strength to succeed on your path in Torah and mitzvos with awe of Heaven and acceptance of the yoke—to always feel "VaAni Kirvas Elokim Li Tov" (And as for me, closeness to G‑d is good for me).
