נעם לי לקבל פ"ש ממנו ע"י הרה"ג והרה"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ וכו' מוה"ר אליעזר שי' קרסיק, אשר כותב לי כי בצעירותו למד בישיבת תומכי תמימים בליובאוויטש, אשר החיות האור והאש שלקחו שם - הם אש תמיד לא תכבה, וסו"ס פועלים פעולתם גם בגלוי, אף כי כמובן שלא כל האנשים שוים במשך הזמן הדרוש לגילוי הפעולה ובסוג הענינים בהם פועלים, ובמכש"כ ומה החומר אפילו חלק היותר קטן ממנו אינו הולך לאבוד כ"א משנה צורה ומחליף צורה, עאכו"כ עניני הרוח שהוא המחי' ומקיים את החומר, ובודאי לדכוותי' האריכות בזה מיותרת.
ובקשר עם זה הנה נהניתי בכפלים מהבעת רצונו להשתתף בהוצאות הבני' של אחד המוסדות בכפר חב"ד אשר באה"ק ת"ו,[1] ולדעתי מהנכון שיהי' בבתים הקשורים עם בתי הספר למלאכה שזהו דרישת השעה כמתאים לתכונת נפש העולים החדשים מאחינו הספרדים שהם רוב מנין העולים החדשים בזמן האחרון, ונוסף בזה עתה על התקופה הקודמת שכשקולטים נער לבית ספר דחינוך הכשר הרי זה, לא לבד שנותנים לו הידיעות הנחוצות בשבילו בחיים הרוחנים וגם בחיים הגשמיים, אלא שעוד יותר גדול בזה הסיוע דסור מרע שמצילים אותו מחיי בטלה אשר הבטלה מביאה לידי כו' וכו', וכמו שראו במוחש תמיד ועאכו"כ בתקופה האחרונה של דורנו המזועזע עד היסוד.
בטח ראה מכתב כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע ע"ד הדמיון שבין רפואת הגוף ורפואת הנפש (נדפס בקונטרס ח"י אלול תש"ח). תקותי חזקה אשר יש לו שיעורים בתורה בכלל ובחסידות בפרט, וכבר ידוע מאמר החוקרים אשר יסוד הבריאות בגשמיות הוא דוקא מהרוחניות.

I was pleased to receive regards from you through Haraha"g veHaraha"ch iy"a nu"n, one involved with tzt"z etc., Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Krasik, who writes to me that in your youth you studied at the Tomchei Temimim Yeshivah in Lubavitch. The vitality, light, and fire you took from there are an eternal flame that will never be extinguished, and ultimately their effect is revealed—even though, of course, not all people are equal regarding the time required for this effect to become apparent or in the types of matters affected. All the more so since even with material things, not even the smallest part is lost but only changes form; how much more so with spiritual matters—which give life and sustain the material—certainly nothing is lost. Surely for you this elaboration is unnecessary.
In connection with this, I was doubly pleased by your expressed desire to participate in funding the construction of one of the institutions in Kfar Chabad in Eretz HaKodesh (the Holy Land). In my opinion it would be appropriate if this were for buildings connected to vocational schools, which is a pressing need suited to the character of the new immigrants—especially our Sephardic brethren who make up most of the recent arrivals. Furthermore, nowadays when a boy is absorbed into a kosher educational institution, not only does he receive necessary knowledge for his spiritual and material life, but even more importantly he is saved from a life of idleness—which leads to all sorts of negative outcomes—as has always been seen clearly and especially so in our turbulent generation.
You have surely seen the letter from my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (of blessed memory), about the similarity between healing of the body and healing of the soul (printed in Kuntres Chai Elul 5708). My strong hope is that you have regular Torah study sessions—especially in Chassidus—and it is already known among researchers that true physical health comes specifically from spirituality.
