ובעמדנו ביום איחוד חדש השביעי, חדש המשובע בכל טוב, וחדש מרחשון, חדש ירידת הגשמים לברכה לחיים ולשובע,
אשר הגשמים וירידתם הם תחלה ראש ומקור לכל הברכות וירידתם והמשכתם למטה,
יהי רצון אשר הכתיבה וחתימה טובה של כל אחד ואחת מבני ישראל, בתוככי כללות ישראל, שהייתה בחדש השביעי תומשך למטה בטוב הנראה ונגלה לנו, בהמצטרך לכל אחד ואחת בגשמיות וברוחניות.
וכחותם המועדים של חדש השביעי, זמן שמחתנו -
מתוך שמחה כפולה, שמחת הנותן, הוא השי"ת מקור הברכות, ושמחת
המקבל - עמו בני ישראל.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter. As we stand on the day uniting the seventh month—the month abundant in every good—and the month of MarCheshvan, the month when rains descend as a blessing for life and plenty (for rain and its descent are the beginning, head, and source of all blessings as their descent draws down blessings below), may it be G‑d's will that the inscription and sealing for good for each and every Jew within all Israel that took place in the seventh month be drawn down below in revealed and visible good for us—in everything each person needs both materially and spiritually.
And as is characteristic of the festivals of the seventh month—Zman Simchaseinu (the season of our rejoicing)—may it be with double joy: the joy of the giver (He, may He be blessed, source of all blessings) and the joy of the recipient—His people Israel.
With blessing for good news.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that just as rain is a source for all physical blessings, so too should our spiritual blessings flow from Tishrei into MarCheshvan. We should seek to draw down revealed good in both material and spiritual matters with double joy—joy from above and from within ourselves.
