Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter from August 29 and also the previous ones, in which you wrote brief points about what you have experienced in the meantime. There were several reasons why I did not answer your previous letters, and one of them was to see how Divine Providence would guide you over the summer days...

The main point is, as we also discussed here, that you should not view all this—G‑d forbid—as a reason for discouragement or similar feelings just because your hopes have not yet been realized. For who among us knows the ways of the L‑rd? From this it is understood that a person cannot be certain in their own assessment of what is truly good for them; on the contrary, complete trust in G‑d—and in the words of our Sages, "Gam zu l'tovah" (this too is for the good)—reveals the truth that it is indeed good, until one sees with human intellect and fleshly eyes that it is visibly and manifestly good.

Having known you for some time already, I hope it is unnecessary to elaborate on this matter.

Since we are now in Elul—the month of abundant mercy from Above—and especially on this bright day of 18 Elul, may it be G‑d's will that you be blessed with all that you need, including a good resolution regarding what was mentioned above and especially that things will turn out well in the near future. May there be good news regarding all of the above.
