לאחרי הפסק הכי ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מט"ז כסלו עם המצורף אליו, ות"ח על שימת לבבו לשלוח את הצילום שהרי מובן ופשוט שכל פרט בנוגע לבנ"י שם נוגע וכו',
ויהי רצון אשר סו"ס יפתחו השערים שלמעלה שבמילא יפתחו השערים דלמטה ותאחד כל בנ"י בכל מקום שהם ועד ליחוד האמיתי כנוסח הידוע בתפלתנו, ויעשו כולם וכו' לעשות רצונך בלבב שלם.
ולאמיתתו של דבר, הרי אי אפשר איחוד טבעי אחר כיון שאין דיעותיהם שוות, וכנראה גם במוחש כמעשה רב.
בטח למותר להעיר אשר במכתבי תנחומין בעתו להמשפחה, נכללה גם אשתו תחי', ותקותי שבשעתו נמסר לה עד"ז.
לאחרי זמן נודע לי ממכתב בנו שי' מהמאורע לא טוב, בפטירת אחותו ע"ה, ויהי רצון אשר מכאן ולהבא לא ידע עוד מכל צער ועגמ"נ ואך טוב וחסד ימצאוהו תכה"י בטוב הנראה והנגלה.
אף כי במכתבו לא מזכיר דבר ע"ד השתתפותו במפעל הפצת המעינות חוצה, וכמדובר זה כ"פ וגם בשיחתנו שעל שכמו גם תפקיד זה ובפרט שבכמה מקומות יכול להגיע אליהם ולהחדיר בהם מה שאין ביכולת אחרים, התקוה שעושה בזה ויהי רצון שגם יוסיף כהציווי להעלות בקדש,
והרי השנה היא שנת המאה וחמשים להסתלקות הילולא של רבנו הזקן, וחג הגאולה י"ט כסלו הרי כינוהו רבותינו נשיאינו בשם ראש השנה ללימוד החסידות ודרכי החסידות.
בכבוד ובברכת חנוכה שמח ולבשו"ט בכל האמור.

After the longest pause, your letter from the 16th of Kislev was received with its enclosure. Thank you for your attention in sending the photograph, as it is understood and obvious that every detail concerning Bnei Yisrael there is relevant and so on.
May it be G‑d's will that finally the gates above will open, which will in turn open the gates below and unite all Bnei Yisrael wherever they are—even to the true unity as expressed in our familiar prayer text: "And they will all... to do Your will with a full heart."
In truth, there cannot be any natural unity otherwise since their opinions are not alike—as is also evident in practice from experience.
Certainly it is unnecessary to point out that in my letter of condolence at the appropriate time to the family, his wife tichyeh was also included. I hope that this was conveyed to her at that time.
After some time I learned from his son's letter sh"y about the unfortunate event—the passing of his sister a"h. May it be G‑d's will that from now on he should know no more sorrow or distress and only goodness and kindness should find him speedily with visible and revealed good.
Although you did not mention anything in your letter regarding your participation in spreading the wellsprings outward—as discussed many times before and also during our conversation—that this responsibility also rests upon you; especially since there are several places you can reach and influence where others cannot. The hope is that you are active in this area; may it be G‑d's will that you increase even more as commanded to ascend in holiness.
This year marks one hundred fifty years since the passing (yahrzeit) of our master the Alter Rebbe. The festival of redemption Yud-Tes Kislev has been called by our Rebbeim "Rosh Hashanah for learning Chassidus and its ways."
