בעת רצון יזכירוהו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע למילוי משאלות לבבו לטובה בכל הענינים אודותם כותב,
ובפרטיות בהנוגע להיות חתן הנשף לטובת בנין בית הכנסת ותלמוד תורה וכו', כבר מסרתי, ואכפול גם בכתב אשר הענין סגולה הוא לאריכות ימים ושנים טובות, שהרי תורתנו תורת חיים היא, ועוד אשר היא חיינו ואורך ימינו, ועד"ז ענין התפלה, ובפרט בנשף בכגון האמור שמצטרף בזה גם ענין גמילות חסדים וצדקה, שאז הרי יש בזה שלשת הענינים של פדה בשלום גו' וכדרז"ל: אמר הקב"ה העוסק בתורה ובגמילות חסדים ומתפלל עם הציבור וכו'
והרי נכתב מכתבו ביום סגולה ויום בשורה ושיחרורו של רבנו הזקן - אשר השנה שנת המאה וחמשים להסתלקות הילולא שלו - באמרו הפסוק פדה בשלום נפשי וגו'.

In response to your letter from the 19th of Kislev. At an auspicious time, you will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, for the fulfillment of your heart's desires for good in all matters you wrote about—especially regarding being the chatan (honoree) at the event benefiting the building of a synagogue and Talmud Torah. I have already conveyed this, and I will repeat in writing that this matter is a segulah (merit) for long and good years, since our Torah is a Torah of life, and furthermore it is our life and the length of our days. Similarly applies to prayer, especially at such an event as mentioned above where acts of kindness and charity are also involved. In such a case there are all three elements of 'He redeemed my soul in peace...' (Tehillim), as our Sages said: The Holy One says: Whoever engages in Torah study, acts of kindness, and prays with the community... And your letter was written on an auspicious day—a day of good tidings and liberation of Rabbeinu HaZaken—which this year marks one hundred and fifty years since his passing—when he recited the verse 'He redeemed my soul in peace...'
