Not long ago, Haraha"ch vavac"h iy"a nu"n involved with tzt"z etc. Moharachma Chodakov gave me over your question regarding the tests.

It is well known the saying we have heard many times from my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe: "As one asks, so is one answered." Although it is truly wondrous that after seeing the wonders of Hashem—even with physical eyes—still from time to time new ideas arise among them that perhaps tests should be done, or perhaps their daughter should be given to another doctor who will learn his craft and wisdom through her, etc. However, since this very question indicates a weakness in trust (bitachon), it is possible that the proper path regarding their daughter should be to proceed by consulting doctors—for none of us knows the wonders of the Perfect Knower, may He be blessed and exalted.

May it be the will of Hashem that whatever they decide—it should bring success and strengthen their daughter's health... May they raise her to Torah, marriage, and good deeds with expanded mind.

And may Hashem help each one of us not to be like dreamers—even as explained in Torah Or that at the time of connection it is a true connection—and certainly as explained in the maamar "Ein HaKadosh Baruch Hu Ba B'Trunya..." (the Holy One does not come with complaints...) on a lower level than this.

I acknowledge receipt of your letters from the 17th and 4th of Teves with your opinions regarding the students; thank you very much for this. Even though I am not pleased that you did not send an opinion regarding the bachur..., since apparently in this case even withholding your opinion is itself an opinion. It should not have been so—according to our Rebbeim's instruction regarding Ahavas Yisrael: that another person is like a mirror; thus if one sees a deficiency in another it is likely reflecting one's own deficiency.

Regarding all this I am writing separately and more sharply; therefore I hope you will not take offense at this letter.
