Blessings for Kfar Chabad and the Power of Shmura Matzah

Holy letters of the Rebbe in Volume 17, letter number 6,161. The 7th of Nissan, 5718, Brooklyn, New York.

And the Rebbe is addressing this letter to each and every one who is in Kfar Chabad, the village of Chabad, which has been established and is being led by my father-in-law, the Rebbe, with all the Rebbe’s titles over here, Hashem Elokim yichyu.

The Rebbe says, “Lots of peace and lots of blessing.” The Rebbe opens up: “Hashalom b’ribu v’habracha b’ribu.” And the Rebbe says, as we are approaching the festival of Matzos, the time of our freedom, which is upon us and upon all Yidden for the good, I want to hereby express to each man and woman of the settlers of Kfar Chabad the blessing of the holiday, a Chag Kosher v’Sameach, a kosher and happy holiday, a time of redemption, true redemption. And that they should continue from this redemption and this joy to all the days of the year.

Especially, as the Rebbe says, that the service of Hashem, as we have been instructed in our Torah, Toras Chaim, is in all matters of the person and throughout the entire day and night, as it is written, “B’chol derachecha da’eihu,” in all your ways know Hashem. So therefore, we are always serving Hashem. And if the service of Hashem must be with joy, that means we must always be with joy.

And very soon, in our days, b’meheira b’yameinu mamash, the promise shall be fulfilled: “Kimei tzeischa me’eretz Mitzrayim arenu niflaos,” just as in the days of your going out of Egypt, I will show you wonders again. And this will be fulfilled in the true and complete redemption through Mashiach Tzidkeinu.

The Rebbe blesses them for a Chag Pesach Kosher v’Sameach, and that everything should be in a true and expansive way, and for a happy and healthy summer.

And the Rebbe says, “I have passed along through HaRav HaGaon,” with all the titles, the Rav of Kfar Chabad, Shneur Zalman Gorelik, shlita, Mara D’Asra, “I gave over to him Shmura Matzah, and I requested that with the participation of the general committee of Kfar Chabad and the spiritual committee, you shall distribute it to the settlers, to those who live in Kfar Chabad.”

The Rebbe sent them matzah, and the Rebbe prays, “V’yehi ratzon,” that it should accomplish its impact. What is the impact? The impact is “maichala d’mehemnusa u’maichala d’asvusa.” As it says in the Zohar, the matzah that we eat brings faith, and it also brings healing. It should be fulfilled in full measure, to bring complete healing and strength.

And the Rebbe, as we will see in another letter, sent the matzah through Rabbi Gorelik to be distributed together with the Va’ad for the people of Kfar Chabad. So the Rebbe is giving them matzah, blessing them with a Chag Kosher v’Sameach, and wishing them true freedom—freedom from all worries—so that they can serve Hashem with joy in all that they do.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that true freedom is living with joy in constant service of Hashem. Through unity, faith, and the spiritual power of mitzvos like matzah, one draws blessing, healing, and the ultimate redemption.

הרבי פותח בברכת שלום וברכה מרובים, וכותב לקראת חג הפסח, זמן חירותנו, שהוא מברך את כל אנשי ונשות הכפר בברכת חג פסח כשר ושמח, זמן של גאולה אמיתית, ושימשיכו את השמחה והחירות לכל ימות השנה.

הרבי מדגיש שעבודת ה׳ היא בכל ענייני האדם, ביום ובלילה, כפי שנאמר “בכל דרכיך דעהו”. ולכן יש להיות תמיד בשמחה.

הרבי מוסיף שבקרוב ממש תתקיים ההבטחה “כימי צאתך מארץ מצרים אראנו נפלאות”, בגאולה השלמה על ידי משיח צדקנו.

הרבי מברך להמשך הצלחה, להרחבה אמיתית, ולקיץ בריא ושמח.

הרבי מציין ששלח מצה שמורה דרך הרב שניאור זלמן גורליק, רב כפר חב״ד, כדי לחלקה לתושבים יחד עם הוועד הכללי והוועד הרוחני.

הרבי מתפלל שהמצה תפעל את פעולתה—כפי שמובא בזוהר שהיא “מאכל האמונה ומאכל הרפואה”—ושתביא אמונה, רפואה והשפעה שלמה.

הרבי מסיים בברכה לחירות אמיתית ולחג פסח כשר ושמח, מתוך שמחה בעבודת ה׳ בכל תחומי החיים.
