במענה על מכתבו מיום הרביעי לחדש הרחמים.
נעם לי לקרות במכתבו מה שכותב אודות ביקוריו במקומות השונים ועבודתו במקצוע המיוחד[2] אשר כל לבבות דורש ה',[3] ובודאי גם בעבודה זו יוסיף אומץ, והשי"ת יצליחו אשר ע"י דרכי נועם וכפתגם רבנו הזקן אשר ואהבת לרעך כמוך היא הכלי לואהבת את ה' אלקיך, יתגברו נר מצוה ותורה אור ומאור שבתורה וימציאם גם לפנות אלו הנדחות בגשמיות ובמילא יזכך ויעלה משם הניצוצות הקדושות ע"י התעוררות לב כל אחד הנמצאים שם לאבינו שבשמים והגילוי אצלו בפועל של החלק אלקה ממעל ממש הנמצא בכל אחד מישראל ואשר תמיד היתה באמנה אתו, ובודאי ההסברה בהנ"ל מעודדים את רוחם, וגם בענינים המבוארים בארוכה לפ"ע בתניא קדישא פרק כח, לא ועוד.
נעם לי לקרות מהני מילי מעלייתא שבסיום מכתבו ברש"י סוף כתובות, ות"ח ת"ח על העבר בכתיבה זו ובקשה גם על להבא. ובהמשך למה שכתב לי במכתבו הקודם בהרמז שמיכאל כהן גדול למע' ואהרן כהן גדול למטה ואהרן קודם ונרמז בהכתוב כי היום ה' נראה אליכם, הנה חפשתי זה בילקוט שמעוני ככתוב במכתבו ולע"ע לא נמצא, כנראה הוא טעות המעתיק, כי מקומו במגלה עמוקות ר"פ שמיני[4] ובשל"ה שם.
ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לו ולכל אשר לו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות.

In response to your letter from Wednesday in the month of mercy. It pleased me to read in your letter what you wrote about your visits to various places and your work in the special field.
That "Kol Levavot Doresh Hashem" (Hashem seeks all hearts) (Divrei HaYamim I, 28:9), and surely in this work you will continue with strength, and may Hashem grant you success so that through pleasant ways and as our master the Alter Rebbe said that 'VeAhavta L'Reiacha Kamocha' (Love your fellow as yourself) is the vessel for loving Hashem your G‑d, the light of mitzvah and Torah will be strengthened and its illumination will reach even those who are physically distant. As a result, the holy sparks will be refined and elevated through awakening the heart of each person there to our Father in Heaven and revealing in practice the actual part of G‑d above found within every Jew, which has always been faithful to him. Surely explaining these matters encourages their spirits, as well as matters explained at length according to their level in Tanya chapter 28, etc.
I was pleased to read those fine words at the end of your letter regarding Rashi at the end of Ketubot. Thank you very much for writing this now and please continue in the future.
Regarding what you wrote previously with a hint about Michael being a great Kohen above and Aharon a great Kohen below—and Aharon comes first—and it is hinted at in the verse 'Ki Hayom Hashem Nir'eh Aleichem' (for today Hashem appears to you): I searched for this in Yalkut Shimoni as written in your letter but have not found it so far; apparently it is a copyist's error because its place is in Megaleh Amukot at the beginning of Shemini and also there in Shnei Luchot HaBrit.
As we approach the new year coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing, I hereby express my blessing to you and all yours: may you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year materially and spiritually.

Summary
The Rebbe highlights how outreach even to those considered distant brings out their inner holiness. Through kindness and love for one's fellow Jew, one can inspire transformation—fulfilling Hashem's desire for every heart. This work brings blessings both materially and spiritually.
