Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 3rd of Adar Sheni, in which you write that you have much worry regarding your wife and children (may they live) as well as concern for livelihood, and therefore you have no peace of mind to study the Torah of Hashem.
It is surprising that you do not mention anything about the channels and vessels for receiving the blessings of Hashem in all these matters—which are Torah and mitzvah. It is already known the saying of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya (a halachic authority in the hidden dimension of Torah) and author of Shulchan Aruch (a halachic authority in the revealed dimension), who answered someone with a similar complaint: "You worry about everything you need but not about what you are needed for." This is also brought in a letter from my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may his merit protect us), printed in Kuntres 57. It is explained there as well that when one strives in those matters which are the purpose of man's creation on earth—as our Sages said at the end of Kiddushin: I was only created to serve my Creator—then Hashem fulfills those things that a person needs.
You surely know about the three daily practices established by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may his merit protect us), which are: a) Reciting Tehillim according to its division for each day after morning prayers; b) Studying Chumash with Rashi's commentary (on Sunday from the beginning of the portion until Sheini; on Monday from Sheini until Shelishi; etc.); c) Studying a daily portion of Tanya as divided throughout the year.
Surely on your next opportunity you will inform me regarding all of this. As per your request I will mention everyone at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, for whatever they need both materially and spiritually.
With blessings that you will share good news regarding all these matters and for a kosher and joyous Pesach.
In the name of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that focusing on Torah study and mitzvah observance creates spiritual vessels to receive G‑d's blessings. By dedicating oneself to daily practices like Tehillim, Chumash with Rashi, and Tanya study, one's material and spiritual needs will be fulfilled.
