זה מזמן שנתקבל מכתבו בו מביע משאלות לבבם לטובה שלו ושל זוגתו תחי' להתברך בזחו"ק וכשאהי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע אזכירם להנ"ל.
והנה ידוע מכתבו של רבינו הזקן אשר סגולה להולדת בנים הוא הענין דאהבה ויראה אשר אהבתו ויראתו ית' נקראים בשם בן ובת ברוחניות וכנדפס מכתב זה בארוכה בסידור מאה שערים בסופו ובמילא צריך הוא לקבוע שיעור לימוד נוסף בתורת החסידות.
מובן שצריך לשמור הוראות הרופאים כיון שלכל דבר צ"ל אחיזה בדרכי הטבע, וכן שזוגתו תחי' תתן איזה פרוטות לצדקה קודם הדלקת הנרות בכל עש"ק וערב יום טוב וכן יבדקו עוד הפעם את המזוזות והתפילין שלו, כן הי' מהנכון לברר אם בהשידוך שלהם לא נגעו מעין פגיעה בכבוד של בן או בת ישראל.
והשי"ת יצליחו לבשר טוב אשר נפקדה זוגתו תחי' ובטח כהוראת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר לא תפרסם לקרובי' מזה עד שתכנס לחדש החמישי להריונה, במלת פרסום הכוונה רק באופן הנ"ל אבל מובן שתספר לו וכן להרופא המטפל בזה וכו' והשי"ת יצליחם.

It has been some time since I received your letter in which you express your heartfelt wishes for the good—for yourself and your wife—requesting to be blessed with sons and daughters. When I am at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law the Rebbe zatzukal-leha nbg"m zya"a, I will mention you for this.
It is known from the letter of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe that a segulah for having children is the matter of love and awe—that one's love and awe of the Blessed One are called "son" and "daughter" spiritually. This letter is printed at length at the end of Siddur Me'ah She'arim. Therefore, you should establish an additional fixed time for studying Chassidus.
It is understood that one must follow the doctors' instructions since everything must have a foothold in natural means. Your wife should also give some coins to charity before lighting candles every Erev Shabbos and Erev Yom Tov. Also, have your mezuzos and tefillin checked again. It would also be proper to clarify whether in your match there was any offense to the honor of a son or daughter of Israel.
May Hashem grant you success to share good news that your wife has been remembered (with blessing). Certainly, as per my revered father-in-law's instruction, do not publicize this to relatives until she enters her fifth month of pregnancy; by "publicize," I mean only as above—but it is understood she should tell you and her attending doctor. May Hashem grant you both success.
