... And may Hashem grant him and his family success, that they should know they are emissaries of the Nasi HaDor, the Rebbe Rayatz zatzal, to spread the candle of mitzvah and the light of Torah—and the luminary within Torah is Toras HaChassidus: its guidance and customs. Therefore, they should not be affected if there are those who oppose this; it is enough for a servant to be like his master—for there were those who opposed the Baal Shem Tov, the Alter Rebbe, and each Rebbe in his generation. However, in our times we have merited that through the self-sacrifice of our leaders mentioned above—and in their days—the victory of Chassidus was revealed and publicized. Consequently, all who rise against it and use tactics like Avigdor's are quickly exposed in public and their downfall is assured from the outset. And if sometimes it takes a bit longer, it is only because chassidim give them space; all the more so since it is well known how much pain the Alter Rebbe felt from having drunk a cup of tea in an opponent's house... May it be G‑d's will that 'sins will cease but not sinners.' With blessing—the one awaiting good news.
Summary
When spreading Chassidus, do not be discouraged by opposition—this has always existed even for our greatest leaders. Ultimately, Chassidus prevails; opposition only gains strength when we give it attention.
