מסרו לי דבר מצב בריאותו ואחר כן גם כן אודות תוצאות נתוח העין אשר ת"ל הי' בהצלחה, ויתן השי"ת אשר ילך מצב בריאותו הלוך וטוב ויוכל להוסיף אומץ בתורה ועבודה כי הרי היות הגוף בריא ושלם מדרכי השם הוא.
בודאי שמע ע"ד פתגם הבעש"ט אשר מכל מאורע שמזדמן עם האדם ומכל דבר שהוא רואה או שומע הרי צפונה בזה הוראה בדרכי עבודתו להשי"ת, ובפרט כשזהו מאורע עיקרי וכמו בכגון הנ"ל שמאור עיניו של אדם הוא מענינים החשובים ביותר, וכידוע גם בדיני תורתנו הנגלית, אשר לכן (לדעה אחת) פקח דוקא מחויב וזוכה בצווי דכל המצות חי הוא וכו' וכו'. ובטח ידוע לו ג"כ לשון רז"ל בהנוגע לכח הראי' שהוא מאור עיניו של אדם, דכל ענין בדברי רז"ל הרי הוא מדוייק בתכלית כיון שאפילו תיבה אחת שבתורתנו הק' צ"ל שניתנה למשה מסיני וכפסק הרמב"ם בהלכות תשובה פרק ג' הלכה ח'.
והנה זאת התורה אדם, אשר כמו דאסתכל הק' באורייתא וברא עלמא עולם הגדול, ה"ה גם בהנוגע להאדם שהוא הנקרא ברז"ל עולם קטן (תנחומא פ' פקודי בתחלתו, ת"ז תיקון סט' דף ק' ע"ב ועוד) ומתאים למאור עיניו של אדם הנה נמצא ג"כ בתורה המאור שבתורה וכאמור באיכה רבה בתחלתו, המאור שבה מחזירו למוטב, שהמאור שבתורה הוא הנסתר דתורה סתים דאורייתא שהוא המביא ליראתו ואהבתו ית' וכמרז"ל (שבת דף ל"א סוף ע"א) ומבואר בלקוטי תורה לרבנו הזקן סוף פרשת ויקרא, ונתגלה בדורות האחרונים בתורת החסידות באופן שכל אחד ואחד יכול להבינו בטוב, וכמו שביאר כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע בארוכה בקונטרס לימוד החסידות. ולא לדרשה קאתינא אלא בהנוגע לפועל, שעליו להחליט בעצמו בהחלטה גמורה לקבוע שיעור בלימוד תורת החסידות מכאן ולהבא, והחלטתו זו עצמה תמהר רפואת עיניו ויוכל להביאה בפועל בקרוב.

I have been informed about your health situation and later also about the results of your eye surgery, which, thank G‑d, was successful. May Hashem grant that your health continues to improve so you can increase your strength in Torah and service, for having a healthy and whole body is one of the ways of serving Hashem.
You have surely heard the saying of the Baal Shem Tov that from every event that happens to a person and from everything he sees or hears, there is a lesson hidden in it for his service to Hashem. This is especially true when it is a major event such as the above—since a person's eyesight is among his most important faculties, as is also known in the laws of our revealed Torah. For this reason (according to one opinion), only someone who can see is obligated and merits all mitzvah obligations because he is considered alive, etc., etc.
Surely you also know the wording of our Sages regarding the power of sight, which is a person's eyesight. Every statement in our Sages' words is extremely precise since even one word in our holy Torah must have been given to Moshe at Sinai, as ruled by Rambam in Hilchos Teshuvah chapter 3 halachah 8.
This Torah is called "Adam," just as "Istakel b'Oraysa u'vara alma" (He looked into the Torah and created the world)—the great world—so too regarding man who is called by our Sages "a small world" (Tanchuma Parshas Pekudei at its beginning; Tikunei Zohar Tikkun 69 page 100b; and others). Corresponding to a person's eyesight there exists in Torah "the light within Torah," as stated at the beginning of Eichah Rabbah: "the light within it brings him back to good." The light within Torah refers to its hidden aspect—Torah's secrets—which brings one to awe and love of Hashem, as our Sages say (Shabbos 31a) and as explained in Likkutei Torah by our master the Alter Rebbe at the end of Parshas Vayikra. In recent generations this has been revealed through Chassidus in such a way that everyone can understand it well, as explained at length by my revered father-in-law the Rebbe zatzal in Kuntres Limud HaChassidus.
We are not coming here for mere preaching but for practical application: you should firmly resolve to establish a regular time for learning Chassidus from now on. This very decision will hasten your eye's healing and you will be able to bring it into practice soon.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that every life event contains lessons for serving Hashem. By setting aside regular time for learning Chassidus, one draws spiritual light that brings both inner growth and physical healing.
