מאשר אני בזה קבלת מכתבו מיום שהוכפל בו כי טוב לס' מסעי עם המוסג"ב.
ותקותי שלעת קבלתו מכתב זה כבר הוטב מצב בריאות רגלו. ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בכל ענינים הקשורים בזה וגם ברוחניות הענינים, וכידוע שרגל ברוחניות הוא ענין של האמונה אשר תרי"ג מצוות נאמרו לו למשה מסיני ובא חבקוק והעמידן על אחת שנאמר וצדיק באמונתו יחי'. ומבואר בכמה מקומות ומהם בשער האמונה לאדמו"ר האמצעי. ויומא דא קגרים הוא יום ההילולא דאהרן כהנא רבא.
בברכה שנזכה בתוך כלל ישראל אשר על ידי המאורעות דימים אלו שבאו מן האב (ולהעיר מאגה"ק לרבנו הזקן סי' כ"ב, דברי המתחיל וכמו) יהפכו בעגלא דידן להארת פנים בבחי' אהבה מגולה חדורה חסידות (וכידוע הפתגם של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בדוגמת רבנו הזקן בד"ה הנ"ל, שבתיאור הדוגמא בתחלתה לא כתב תואר חסיד, אף שהוא רחמן חכם וצדיק כיון שבגלוי הוא ענין של תוכחה. וק"ל) ויתגלה המנחם עד שיאמרו אודך הוי' כי אנפת בי גו' ותנחמני ע"י הנחמה כפולה דוקא.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the day that "ki tov" was doubled (the day when "it was good" was said twice) for Parshas Masei with the enclosed material. I hope that by the time you receive this letter your leg’s health has already improved.
May it be G‑d’s will that you share good news in all matters connected to this and also in spiritual matters. As is known, a leg in spiritual terms represents faith—about which it is said that all 613 mitzvos were given to Moshe at Sinai, and Chavakuk came and established them on one principle as it is written: "VeTzaddik BeEmunato Yichyeh" (And the righteous shall live by his faith). This is explained in many places, including Shaar HaEmunah by the Mitteler Rebbe.
This day is also the yahrzeit of Aharon Kohen Gadol. With a blessing that we merit together with all of Israel that through the events of these days which come from the Father (see Igros Kodesh of the Alter Rebbe section 22 beginning with "VeKmo") they should soon be transformed into radiant countenance in a state of revealed love permeated with Chassidus (as is known from the saying of my father-in-law the Rebbe similar to the Alter Rebbe in the aforementioned discourse: when describing an example at its start he did not write "Chassid," even though he was compassionate, wise, and righteous—because openly it was a matter of rebuke; this is understood). May Menachem be revealed until we say: "Odecha Hashem Ki Anafta Bi... Vatenachameini" (I thank You Hashem for You were angry with me... and You have comforted me) through specifically double consolation.
