במענה על מכתבו מתחלת תמוז, בו כותב אודות היחס מכמה אנשים אליו, אי הצלחתו להוציא מת"י דבר מתוקן ושלם וכו'.
ובהנוגע לסעיף א', ילמוד בעיון הראוי אגה"ק לרבנו הזקן סי' כ"ה ויראה שאין יסוד להחששות שלו, ובהנוגע לענין השני, כמו בכמה ענינים צריך לבחון מאיזה צד באה טענה זו, וכידוע הסיפור מהרה"ח הרה"צ כו' וכו' הרמ"ן מטשערנאביל (נדפס בשיחת חגה"פ תש"ג) והבחינה ע"ז הוא ע"פ המבואר בשיחת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר (נדפס בהיום יום כ"ג סיון) כי כל דבר המועיל או מביא לעבודה בפועל, הנה כל מניעה שתהי' לדבר זה אפילו אם המניעה היא מדבר היותר נעלה - הוא רק מתחבולותי' של נה"ב. וכיון שכנראה ממכתבו ההתבוננות בשני הענינים מונעים אותו מפעולות בשטח חב"ד ובהפצת המעינות, הרי ברור ופשוט שהתבוננות זו מזיקה ומקורה בלתי טהור, ויה"ר שימשיך להתעסק בהרמת קרן ישראל סבא ע"י הפצת המעינות עד שיגיעו גם חוצה, וכבר הובטח שכשמתעסקים בזה מצליחים, וכפסק בי"ד של מעלה, אשר בכל ענין של תורה יראת שמים ומדות טובות תהי' יד מקושריו והולכי בעקבותיו על העליונה (נדפס בס' קיצורים והערות לתניא ע' קכ"ב).
לפלא שאין מזכיר במכתבו זה ע"ד ניצול ימי הסגולה י"ב וי"ג תמוז, וביחוד בהנוגע להמשיכן על שאר ימות השנה בענינים של פועל, ובטח ימלא בהזדמנות הבאה.

In response to your letter from the beginning of Tammuz, in which you write about the attitude of several people toward you and your lack of success in producing something proper and complete from your hand, etc.
Regarding the first issue, study carefully Iggeres HaKodesh of our master the Alter Rebbe, section 25, and you will see there is no basis for your concerns. Regarding the second matter—as with many issues—it is necessary to examine from which side this claim arises. As is known from the story of the chassidic master Harav Hatzaddik etc., etc., R. Menachem Nachum of Chernobyl (printed in the Pesach 5703 sichah), this examination is based on what is explained in the sichah of my father-in-law, the Rebbe (printed in Hayom Yom 23 Sivan): anything that helps or leads to actual avodah—any obstacle to this, even if it comes from something very lofty—is only a trick of the animal soul.
And since it appears from your letter that reflection on these two matters prevents you from acting within Chabad activities and spreading the wellsprings, it is clear and obvious that such reflection is harmful and its source is impure. May it be His will that you continue to engage in elevating Keren Yisrael Saba by spreading the wellsprings until they reach even outside. It has already been stated that when one engages in this one succeeds—as ruled by the heavenly court—that in every matter of Torah, fear of Heaven, and good character traits, those who are connected and follow his path will prevail (printed in Sefer Kitzurim v'He'aros l'Tanya p. 122).
It is surprising that you do not mention in this letter about utilizing the auspicious days of 12th and 13th Tammuz—especially regarding drawing their influence into other days of the year through practical matters—and surely you will fulfill this at your next opportunity.
