במענה על מכתבו עם הפ"נ המוסגר בו שיקרא בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.
מה שכותב שאין יכולת לפעול מאומה בשום ענין, ח"ו לומר כן, כי התורה היא נצחית, וניתנה ביחוד לכל אחד ואחד מישראל, וכידוע שזהו אחד הטעמים שבעשרת הדברות, וביחוד דבור הראשון והשני שכל התורה כלולה בהם נאמרו בלשון יחיד, ומזה מובן שגם עליו הזכות להתעסק בהפצת המעיינות חוצה שהם תורת החסידות הדרכותי' ומנהגי'. ואף שמובן שאופני ההפצה תלוים בזמן ובמקום, אבל בכל זמן ומקום ישנה היכולת והאפשריות להפצה, ואמרו רז"ל יגעת ומצאת, ומדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה, שכשמוסיפין בבריאות הרוחנית של הסביבה, מוסיף השי"ת כמה פעמים ככה בבריאות הרוחנית וגם הגשמית של האדם המתעסק בזה, והשי"ת יאריך ימיו ושנותיו ויחזק ויוסיף בהאור אשר בחלקו בעולם מתוך הרחבת הדעת.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter with the enclosed pan (petition for blessing), which will be read at an auspicious time at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal l'havdil ben chayim mezal ziya.
What you write—that you have no ability to accomplish anything in any matter—G‑d forbid to say so! For the Torah is eternal and was given specifically to every single Jew. It is well known that this is one of the reasons why in the Ten Commandments, especially the first and second statements in which all of Torah is included, they are phrased in the singular form. From this it is understood that you too have the merit and responsibility to be involved in spreading the wellsprings outward—that is, Chassidus: its teachings and customs.
Even though it is clear that the manner of spreading depends on time and place, nevertheless, in every time and place there exists both the ability and possibility for spreading. Our Sages said: "You have labored and found [success], believe it." And the measure of the Holy One, blessed be He, is measure for measure: when one increases spiritual health in his surroundings, Hashem increases many times over both spiritual—and also physical—health for the person involved in this work. May Hashem lengthen your days and years and strengthen and increase the light allotted to you in this world with expanded awareness.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that every Jew has unique power to influence their environment through spreading Chassidus. No one should ever feel powerless; sincere effort brings G‑d's blessings both spiritually and physically.
