במענה על מכתבו מתחלת שבט - שנתקבל באיחור זמן - הנה הזכרתיו ואת כל ב"ב שיחיו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ובודאי יעורר ר"ר עליהם בהמצטרך להם בגשמיות וברוחניות.
נהניתי ממ"ש אודות עסקנותו, ומה שמתאונן שאינו נראה פירות על אתר וכו' - מובן שהתאוננות זו באה מהלעומת זה, אשר אומן גדול הוא ובא לכל אחד ואחד בפיתויים כאלו שתקותו להצליח בהם, וכמבואר בהיום יום לכ"ג סיון שהבחינה בזה היא שאם הענינים מבלבלים ומחלישים בהפועל של תורה ומצוה, מקורם הוא מהצד שכנגד, ובמילא יבטלם לגמרי ויוסיף בהתעמולה ובהלימוד שלומד ברבים ולעצמו כו' וכו'.
ואנן פועלי דיממא אנן, והשי"ת יעשה הטוב בעיניו. ובטח יראה ג"כ הצלחה בזמן המתאים, וכמ"ש את הכל עשה יפה בעתו. וע"פ הנ"ל מובן ג"כ, אשר אותם הפחדים שיש לו שכותב אודותם יסודם רק בערמומית ותחבולות היצה"ר, וזהו כל מציאותו, ובמילא לכשירעים בקול רעש ורוגז וכמבואר בתניא הרי כדונג ימס, ויראה את האמת אשר השי"ת משגיח עליו, כמו על כאו"א מישראל, בהשגחה פרטית ובמילא נכון יהי' לבו בטוח בה'.
ולקראת חג המצות הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה הנה יחוגו אותו הוא וכל ב"ב שיחיו בכשרות ובשמחה.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the beginning of Shevat—which was received after some delay—I mentioned you and your entire family for blessing at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, and certainly he will arouse abundant mercy for you all regarding all your needs both materially and spiritually.
I was pleased by what you wrote about your activism. As for your complaint that you do not see immediate results—understand that this complaint comes from the opposing side (the Yetzer Hara), which is a great expert and approaches everyone with such enticements in hopes of succeeding. As explained in Hayom Yom for 23 Sivan: if these matters disturb or weaken one’s actual involvement in Torah and mitzvah observance, their source is from the opposing side; therefore, one should dismiss them completely and increase efforts in activism and public as well as personal Torah study.
We are workers of daylight, and Hashem will do what is good in His eyes. Surely you will also see success at the appropriate time, as it is written: "He has made everything beautiful in its time."
According to the above, it is also understood that those fears you wrote about are rooted only in the cunning and schemes of the Yetzer Hara—that is its entire existence. Therefore, when one roars at it with noise and anger—as explained in Tanya—it melts like wax. Then you will see the truth: that Hashem watches over you just as He does over every Jew with individual Divine Providence; therefore your heart should be steadfastly confident in Him.
As we approach Pesach—may you and your entire family celebrate it properly and joyfully.
