... נהניתי ממ"ש שהולך ונדפס ספרו בסיפורים חסידותיים, ובטח יציין את המקור מהם לקח הסיפורים, מי המספר ומדת הדייקנות שלו (כמובן באם הסיפורים הם סיפורי-חסידים) או שזהו ממהלך הנפש וכו'.
מ"ש אודות המפתחות לספרי חסידות, הנה ספרים היסודיים הם תניא תורה אור ולקוטי תורה, והרי מפתחות לתו"א ולתניא כבר נדפסו (אף שלא בשלימות מפני שלא הי' זמן לעבד (כראוי לדברים הנדפסים), את החלק השני למפתחות והן מראה מקומות והשואות וכו'). ומפתח ללקו"ת ישנו אתי בכתובים שבטח יודפס ג"כ ואת הכל עשה יפה בעתו.
בהנוגע למגילות הגנוזות, הרי לא הי' עתותי בידי לעיין בהסכסוך שבין החוקרים בזה, וכידוע שמחולקים מן הקצה אל הקצה, אבל מה שנראה לי מתוך קריאה שטחית וראיית איזה צלומים, שכנראה משיטת הכתוב בהנוגע למלאים וכו'[2] זהו מכת"י עם הארץ, העלול לטעות בהעתקה מפני חסרון ידיעה, ולכן זהירות יתירה דרושה בנוגע לסמכות המגילות (ומי יודע סיבת גניזתם).

I was pleased by what you wrote that your book of Chassidic stories is being published, and certainly you will note the source from which you took the stories, who the narrator is, and his level of accuracy (of course, if these are Chassidic stories), or whether it is from psychological analysis, etc.
Regarding what you wrote about indexes for Chassidic books: the foundational books are Tanya, Torah Or, and Likkutei Torah. Indexes for Torah Or and Tanya have already been printed (though not completely because there was no time to properly prepare the second part of the indexes and also cross-references and comparisons). As for an index to Likkutei Torah, I have a manuscript which will certainly be published as well—everything in its proper time.
Concerning the Dead Sea Scrolls: I have not had time to examine the dispute among researchers on this matter; as is known, they are divided from one extreme to another. But what seems to me from a superficial reading and seeing some photographs is that apparently from the style regarding "maleim," etc., this is a manuscript by an unlearned person who could easily err in copying due to lack of knowledge. Therefore, extra caution is needed regarding the authority of these scrolls (and who knows why they were hidden).
