מ"ש בנוגע להתספורת של בנו שי' אם לדחותה, הרי לפלא הדבר למה לעשות ככה, כיון שמנהג ישראל לעשות התספורת ביום מלאת שלש שנים ה"ז השעה טובה ומוצלחת, ומי יודע עד מה אם ביום אחר שרוצים לעשותו וועט מען צוטרעפין לעת רצון כזו, ואף שלכאורה קצת סתירה לזה ממ"ש בבאר היטב לאו"ח סי' תקל"[א] ס"ק ז' דמותר להשהות כו' הרי שם טעם דע"פ תורה.
מ"ש אודות שילוח הנדפסים לרבנים כו', הנה לשלוח לכולם לכאורה לא תהי' בזה תועלת כ"כ כיון שמתקבלים כמה מיני דפוס שגם אין קוראים אותם, ואם יש אפשריות לברר מי מהנמצאים ברשימתו מעונינים בענינים הנ"ל היו"ל ע"י קה"ת וכיו"ב, והעיקר אם משפיעים ג"כ בהנוגע לפועל, אזי יש מקום להתענין ולעבד תכנית - פראגראם - למי לשלוח ומאיזה סוג.
המוסגר בהנוגע למעות חטים נמסר למטרתם ויודיעוהו ישר.

In response to your letter from Erev Chodesh Nissan with its enclosure.
Regarding what you wrote about your son's haircut (upsherin), whether to postpone it: it is surprising to consider such a thing, since the Jewish custom is to do the haircut on the day he completes three years. This is an auspicious and successful time, and who knows if on another day you wish to do it you will be able to capture such a favorable moment. Even though there appears to be some contradiction from what is written in Ba'er Heitev Orach Chaim siman 531 se'if katan 7 that it is permitted to delay it, there the reason is based on Torah law.
Regarding sending printed materials to rabbis etc., sending to everyone would apparently not be so beneficial since they receive many types of printings and often do not read them. If it is possible to clarify which people on your list are interested in these matters published by Kehot and similar organizations—and especially if this will also have an actual effect—then there is reason to consider and develop a program for whom and what type of materials to send.
