I received the pidyon nefesh that was delivered through Haraha"ch iy"a nu"n who is involved with tzt"z, a man many times Moreinu HaRav... I will mention him at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory. Although Hashem grants success as wide as a grand hall, a person must at least make an opening as small as the eye of a needle—especially regarding the refinement of character traits. This is one of the main purposes for which the soul descends from a lofty height to a deep pit. He should diligently study chapter 32 in Tanya Kadisha and the mitzvah of Ahavas Yisrael as explained in Sefer HaMitzvos by tzt"z until he knows these matters thoroughly by heart. This will make it easier for him to battle his yetzer hara, refine his character traits, and succeed in complete Torah study and fear of Heaven.
