I was pleased to receive your two letters from Midlet, and most importantly, that you have already seen tangibly the influence of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may the memory of the righteous be a blessing for life in the World to Come), who succeeded in correcting matters concerning the teachers and other issues. May Hashem grant you success to see tangible continued success in all these matters soon, and may Hashem grant each one of us to be fitting channels and intermediaries that connect (and not G‑d forbid the opposite).

I greatly enjoyed what you wrote about beginning to influence also the baalei batim (laypeople), as I have previously written to you... It is also understood that one must seek advice and ways to influence also the surroundings of Midlet...

A package of several hundred copies of Sefer HaTanya has been sent from here; this edition was recently published here, and several copies will be sent to you as well. This will also serve as assistance in all the above matters...

P.S. Regarding how often and how to learn with the children and their eating arrangements, as well as organizing separate classes for boys and girls—there are two points that must be observed: a) That there should be no room for local residents to say "we have come from a stricter holiness to a lesser one" (and even without this separation, from a certain age—according to the nature of the local people—it is necessary). b) Not to over-tighten the string—and according to all the above he should arrange these matters. How good it would be if there were a single approach in this conduct for all Oholei Yosef Yitzchak institutions in Morocco.
