In response to your letter from the 17th of Marcheshvan, in which you wrote about what you have been through and that, thank G‑d, everything passed peacefully: it is well known from our Sages that the Jewish people are compared to stars and when they begin to rise etc. (see also Bava Basra 12b), and "all who do good for him..." May it be G‑d's will that this will be in a visibly good and tangible way.

Regarding your question about your future occupation—especially since you were informed from London that at present there is no demand for shochatim—my opinion is that you should make every effort to obtain an entry permit to Morocco, especially Casablanca, and there take part in educational work in the vineyard of my revered father-in-law the Rebbe zatzal. As for how to obtain the necessary documents, you can immediately turn—to provide names of people on site who are requesting you—to Haraha"ch vavac"h iy"a nu"n who is involved with tzt"z Moharash Matosaf; he will inform you of details. At the outset it is proper that you travel yourself first and afterwards your family should come there. There is hope that this will be a source of livelihood for you all—both materially and spiritually.
