In response to your message regarding your wife's condition: May Hashem grant that she completes her pregnancy properly and easily, and gives birth to a healthy child at the right time, in a proper and easy manner. It is well known the instruction of my father-in-law the Rebbe zatzal that until entering the fifth month of pregnancy it should not be publicized at all. It is appropriate to check his tefillin as well as the mezuzos in their home—to ensure they are all kosher according to halachah. Surely he has participated (and will participate with increased strength) in the Tefillin campaign. May Hashem grant them success. Surely he observes the three daily study portions equal for every soul—Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya—as is well known.

Regarding the incident resulting from lack of knowledge of halachah etc.—first and foremost: both should become proficient in the necessary halachos for each of them in this area. (b) Giving charity—in addition to their regular tzedakah—of about $45 each (over the course of this coming Adar). It is proper to strive in Torah study with acceptance of semichah (rabbinic ordination) etc.
