Shalom u'Vrachah!
I acknowledge receipt of your letters from Rosh Chodesh Tammuz and the previous one (with their enclosures), and at an auspicious time I will mention you at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, for the fulfillment of your heart's desires for good in all matters you write about.
Now that we have just come from the days of redemption, the 12th and 13th of Tammuz—which you surely know about and more importantly what we are to learn from them—it is certain that this will increase your trust in Hashem, Who watches over each individual with Divine Providence. As it says in the pleasant words of the singer of Israel: Hashem is with me; I will not fear. Hashem is my shepherd; I lack nothing. The intent here is not only regarding matters people call "big," but also small and even minute things. In the well-known style of the Baal Shem Tov's teachings on Divine Providence—not only is a leaf blown in the street watched over from Above, but even how and why it turns—this teaches us about the greatness and depth of Hashem's supervision over every aspect concerning Jewish sons and daughters, His close nation.
Blessings for good news as written in your letter. It is clear that what was written above applies to each one of you individually, especially to what he wrote regarding his health situation etc. The intention is not to justify or defend this situation G‑d forbid; rather, on the contrary—to suggest that perhaps it is merely a matter of a test (which applies specifically to something difficult or incomprehensible). Then, as is customary with tests—when one recognizes that it is only "Hashem your G‑d testing you to know whether you love Hashem your G‑d with all..." and stands "in the test," then the situation ceases (for it has already fulfilled its purpose) and returns to normal.
With blessings for a complete recovery and expanded livelihood and good news.
M. Schneersohn
P.S. Regarding your suggestion for your daughter (with the Avrech...), in general it is appropriate. However, since you mentioned that at first she was somewhat hesitant etc., it would be better if you did not get further involved in this matter; let your daughter continue as she sees fit according to her heart’s inclination etc., for (as above) Hashem watches over her with Divine Providence.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that every detail in life is guided by Divine Providence—even challenges are opportunities for growth when viewed as tests from Hashem. He advises trusting in G‑d’s care while allowing children autonomy in personal decisions like matchmaking.
