Haraha"ch vavac"h iy"a num"m etc. Mehoramz Greenglass

Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter: a) You surely received the kuntres for Pesach in due time, and Mr. Feiglin also gave you, upon his arrival, the portion that was set aside from each of the three mitzvos of the Seder plate from my father-in-law the Rebbe shlita.

b) Thank you for the book "Toledot Chaim." I showed it to my father-in-law the Rebbe admor shlita. The story there about the tefillin of the Alter Rebbe—he said he had not heard this story but had heard that for some reason Mehoran son of Adhamatz gave to tzt"z the tefillin d'Shimusha Rabba of the Alter Rebbe.

c)... Surely when there is news regarding Haraha"ch Klyogant you will inform me.

d) What is meant by what you wrote regarding "one who breaks a fence will be bitten by a snake," that it refers both to the primordial serpent and an actual snake—the maamar Zachor 5634 is not currently in my possession to review. However, it seems clear that "actual snake" means an actual snake bite or at least a physical punishment. As our sages said (Shabbos 110a). It can be explained that what Yehoshua said (Yehoshua 6:26) "with his firstborn he shall lay its foundation..." is an additional punishment beyond what is known [that] "one who breaks a fence will be bitten by a snake." Therefore Chiel died specifically from a snake bite, as our sages said and as brought in Yalkut Shimoni I Kings 18.

e) Thank you for the stories you copy in your letter. My father-in-law would say Shir HaShirim on Erev Shabbos at certain times; apparently it was not possible to reveal which times. For "forgive us..." we do not strike our chest in any prayer after which Tachanun is not recited; this includes even Maariv throughout the year. The three stories about the Alter Rebbe are unknown (and two seem very puzzling).

f) Thank you if you can provide me (to return if so stipulated) with the sefer Igros Kodesh by R.Y. Diskin that you mention.

g) Enclosed is the kuntres for Lag BaOmer which has just been published; certainly you will merit to benefit many with it.

With regards to all who inquire after my welfare.
