עס רעט זיך אין דעם ענין, אין תורה אור בדרושי פ' שמות, און אויך אין אור התורה להצמח צדק און אין נאך ערטער [און מיוסד אויף דעם זוהר הקדוש], אז די ענינים וועלכע ווערען אויסגערעכענט אין דער סדרה, קען מען דורכקומען דורך עבודה רוחנית, און דאס איז, ווי ער זאגט דארט, עבודה קשה, דא קושיא, בחומר, דא קל וחומר, ובכל עבודה בשדה, דא ברייתא, ובלבנים דא לבון הלכתא.
און די עבודה איז דאך אסאך א געשמאקערע, און דער שכר איז אויך א גרעסערער, וק"ל.
וכמדומה, אז אויך אין דעם תוכן ענינים פון פ' שמות, רעט זיך וועגען דעם, חאטש בקיצור.

This is in response to your letter from the 26th of Teves, with its enclosure.
As an addition to what will—without vow—be discussed by phone, I want to raise here what you wrote in connection with the well-known saying of Admor HaZaken: one must live with the parsha of the week. In this week's parsha it speaks about hard labor and avodas parech (backbreaking work). This topic is discussed in Torah Or in the discourses on Parshas Shemos, as well as in Or HaTorah by the tzt"z and other places [and based on the Zohar HaKadosh], that the matters enumerated in this parsha can be experienced through spiritual avodah. As he says there: "avodah kasha" (hard labor) refers to a kushya (difficult question), "bechomer" refers to kal v'chomer (an a fortiori argument), "uv'chol avodah basadeh" refers to a braita (teaching outside the Mishnah), and "bilvenim" refers to levan hilchasa (clarifying halachic rulings). And this avodah is much more pleasant, and its reward is also greater—and this is clear.
It seems that also within the content of Parshas Shemos itself, it discusses this point, albeit briefly.
