באיחור זמן נתקבל מכתבו בו מודיע טובות אשר לקח חלק וגם הצליח במבצע הפצת ספרי דא"ח תורת החסידות וכן מיום הולדתו אשר חזר דא"ח ברבים חלק מהמאמר מים רבים לא יוכלו לכבות את האהבה.
ויהי רצון אשר מתאים לכתבו זה הנה גם בחייו ובעניניו הוא יעשה ככל יכולתו שיקבע הענין, אשר מים רבים הם כל עניני עוה"ז ומובן שהנה"ב בכללם ולכל לראש לא יוכלו ח"ו לכבות את האהבה שישנה בכל אחד מישראל אהבה טבעית לאבינו שבשמים, אשר אהבה זו שרש היא לקיום רמ"ח מ"ע ומצות היראה בכללה שהיא שרש לשס"ה ל"ת, והיא המביאה לידי עשיית המצות בפועל וקרוב אליך הדבר מאד בפיך ובלבבך לעשותו, וכמבואר בתניא פרק י"ז ואילך. ואין הדבר תלוי אלא ברצון וכיון שאמרו רז"ל שישראל הם עז שבאומות, תקותי שינצל התוקף שיש לו שלא להתרשם מכל מניעות ועכובים וללמוד בהתמדה ושקידה גדולה וקיום המצות בהידור, והשי"ת יצליחו.

Your letter was received after some delay, in which you share good news that you participated and succeeded in the campaign to spread the books of Chassidus and also about your birthday when you publicly reviewed a part of the maamar "Mayim Rabim Lo Yuchlu Lechabot Es HaAhavah" ("Many waters cannot extinguish the love").
May it be G‑d's will that, as you wrote, you will also do everything possible in your life and affairs to establish this idea—that the many waters are all matters of this world (and certainly the animal soul among them), but above all, they cannot extinguish, G‑d forbid, the love that exists naturally within every Jew for our Father in Heaven. This love is the root for fulfilling the 248 positive commandments and for mitzvas yirah (awe), which is itself the root for the 365 prohibitions. This love leads to actually performing mitzvos, as it is written: "Ki Karov Eilecha HaDavar Me'od B'ficha U'vilvavcha La'asoso" ("For this thing is very close to you—in your mouth and in your heart—to do it"), as explained in Tanya chapter 17 and onward.
It all depends only on one's will. Since our Sages said that Israel is the strongest among nations, I hope he will use his strength not to be affected by any obstacles or hindrances and to study with diligence and great effort and perform mitzvos with beauty. May Hashem grant him success.
