במענה על מכתבו מיום ה' מקץ, שכותב שמפני שינוי הזמן אפשר יעזוב הרעיון דבר קנין הבית.
לדעתי שינוי הזמן לא נוגע לו אפילו את"ל שיש שינוי הזמן, ולדעתי שינוי הזה הוא שמתקרבים לביאת משיח צדקנו ובמילא צריכים להתעסק יותר בעניני תורה ומצות בכלל והפצת תורת החסידות הדרכותי' ומנהגי' ביחוד, וכל יתר הדברים צריכים להתנהג כבשנים בתיקונן ושומר ישראל לא ינום ולא יישן משגיח בהשגחה פרטית בתכ"י וישמרם בכל מקום שהם ובקרוב יגאלנו מן הגלות בגאולה האמיתית והשלימה ע"י משיח צדקנו.

In response to your letter from Thursday of Parshas Miketz, in which you write that due to the change in times you might abandon the idea of acquiring the house: In my opinion, the change in times does not affect this matter at all—even if we were to say there is a change in times. In my view, this change is that we are drawing closer to the coming of our righteous Moshiach. Therefore, we must be even more involved in matters of Torah and mitzvos in general and especially in spreading the teachings of Chassidus—its guidance and customs. All other matters should continue as they have in previous proper years. The Guardian of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps; He watches with individual Divine Providence over His people and will protect them wherever they are. Soon He will redeem us from exile with the true and complete redemption through our righteous Moshiach.
