נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מכ"א כסלו, בו כותב אף כי בקיצור נמרץ מההתועדות והצלחתה, ובודאי כוונתו גם מתאימה לדבר משנה לא המדרש עיקר אלא המעשה עיקר, ז. א. שדברי ההתעוררות וההחלטות יביאו לפעולות בהנוגע להפועל במשך הימים הבאים אחרי זה, וכפי שרואים במוחש דורש זה הזכרה וזירוז מזמן לזמן, ובפרט בימי סגולה וימי רצון, וכבר מלתי אמורה לכמה מאנ"ש אשר זכינו שאין כבר התנגדות להפצת המעינות, ולכן חבל כ"פ ככה על כל הזדמנות שאין מנצלים אותה בשטח זה, ולא עוד אלא אפילו האומרים בדבורם שהם מנגדים ואפילו העושים איזה פעולות בכיון זה, אין זה אלא מחסרון ידיעה מבהיל, שע"י הסברה קלה בדרכי נועם יבטלוה, וכנראה כ"ז במוחש לכל אלו המתבוננים אליבא דנפשי', ובודאי מנצלים ג"כ ימי חנוכה בזה שהנקודה בהם מוסיף והולך להאיר החשך ועל פתח ביתו מבחוץ.

I was pleased to receive your letter from the 21st of Kislev, in which you wrote—albeit very briefly—about the farbrengen and its success. Certainly, your intention also aligns with the teaching of the Mishnah: "Not study is the main thing but action is the main thing," meaning that words of inspiration and resolutions should lead to practical actions in the days following. As is clearly seen, this requires reminders and encouragement from time to time, especially on auspicious days and times of favor.
I have already expressed to several of Anash that we have merited a situation where there is no longer opposition to spreading the wellsprings. Therefore, it is regrettable to miss any opportunity in this area. Moreover, even those who verbally claim they oppose or even take some actions in that direction do so only out of alarming ignorance; with a gentle explanation delivered pleasantly, they will abandon their opposition. This is evident to anyone who reflects honestly.
Certainly, you are also utilizing the days of Chanukah for this purpose, since their essence is to continually increase light in darkness—even at one's doorway facing outward.
Blessings for good news in all mentioned above and for success to all participants in these most lofty activities.

The Rebbe teaches that inspiration from farbrengens must be translated into ongoing action. Every opportunity should be used to spread Chassidus, as opposition often stems from ignorance and can be overcome with kindness and clarity.
