במענה על מכתבו ממוצש"ק נעם לי לקרות בו שממשיך בהשתדלותו להפיץ נר מצוה תורה אור ומאור שבתורה זהו עניני חסידות בסביבתו[1], שתוספת קדושה נצרכת בה, וכמה שכתוב והי' מחנך קדוש וכו', וכיון שתובעים את זה - בודאי שניתנו הכחות וכל הענינים הדרושים למלאות התפקיד, ולכן תמה אני על מה שכותב שנפל קצת ביאוש, ומובן שזה ג"כ מצער, וצריך הוא לראות את המצב כמו שהוא, זאת אומרת, שהוא שלוחו של הקב"ה לעורר את סביבתו, להכירה את האור כי טוב, וכמה שכתוב טעמו וראו כי טוב ה', אשר עי"ז נשמרים יהיו וגם מאושרים - הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות, ואם המקיים נפש אחת ה"ז כאלו קיים עולם מלא, עאכו"כ שבידו לקרב כמה נפשות מבנ"י לאבינו שבשמים וגם אפילו בפעולות בחיי היום יומים.
ובפרט ביחוד שנכנסנו כבר לחדש כסלו הוא חדש הגאולה והנסים, גאולת מייסד תורת חסידות חב"ד, הוא רבנו הזקן, האומר אשר ואהבת לרעך כמוך הוא כלי לואהבת את ה' אלוקיך, והוא גם הוא האומר אשר החסידות אינה ענין של כיתה בעם ישראל או חלק מעם ישראל, אלא לכולם שייכת היא וכולם זקוקים וצריכים להוראותי', ובפרט הנוער הצעיר המתחיל דרכו בחיים ועומד בפני נסיונות מיוחדים, ואשר בריאותו הן בריאות הגוף והן בריאות הנשמה, נוגע לרבים.
ויה"ר אשר הוא וכל אלה הנמצאים בסביבתו הקרובה וגם הרחוקה יכירו וידעו אשר יוצאי צבא הם בצבאות ה' נותן התורה ומצוה המצות ויקבלו עליהם עול מלכות שמים ועול תורה ומצות והתורה והמצוה יגינו עליהם בכל מקום שהם ויביאם לנצחון ברוחניות ולנצחון כפשוטו[2].

מטובו לפרוש בשלום כל אלו הנמצאים בסביבתו ולמסור להם איחולים לבביים אשר יהי' מחניהם קדוש בקדושת התורה והמצוה, וה' אלקים מתהלך בקרב מחניהם להצילם ולתת אויביהם לפניהם, ובקרוב יזכו ונזכה בתכ"י[3] לקיום היעוד אשר יצאו צבאות ה' הם כל אחד ואחד מישראל מן הגלות ע"י משיח צדקנו.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from Motzaei Shabbat Kodesh, I was pleased to read that you continue your efforts to spread Ner Mitzvah, Torah Or, and the light within Torah—that is, the teachings of Chassidus—in your surroundings, which require an increase in holiness, as it is written: 'And your camp shall be holy,' etc. Since this is demanded of you, surely all the necessary strengths and resources have been given to fulfill this mission. Therefore, I am surprised by what you write about having fallen somewhat into despair; clearly this is also distressing. You must see the situation as it truly is: that you are a messenger of the Holy One, blessed be He, to awaken your environment and help them recognize that the light is good—as it is written: 'Taste and see that Hashem is good.' Through this, they will be protected and also happy—both materially and spiritually. If one who saves a single soul is considered as if he saved an entire world, how much more so when you can bring several souls among Bnei Yisrael closer to our Father in Heaven—even through actions in daily life.
Especially now that we have already entered the month of Kislev—the month of redemption and miracles—the redemption of the founder of Chabad Chassidus, our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe. He said that 'Love your fellow as yourself' is a vessel for 'And you shall love Hashem your G‑d.' He also said that Chassidus is not just for a segment or part of the Jewish people but belongs to everyone; all need its guidance—especially young people beginning their path in life and facing unique challenges. Their health—both physical and spiritual—affects many.
May it be His will that he and all those in his close and distant surroundings recognize and know that they are soldiers in the army of Hashem Who gives the Torah and commands the mitzvos; may they accept upon themselves the yoke of Heaven's sovereignty and the yoke of Torah and mitzvos. The Torah and mitzvah will protect them wherever they are and bring them victory both spiritually and literally.

P.S. Please kindly convey my regards to all those in your environment and give them heartfelt wishes that their camp should be holy with the holiness of Torah and mitzvah; may Hashem Elokim walk among their camp to save them and deliver their enemies before them. Soon we will merit—together with all Israel—to see fulfilled immediately the prophecy: 'The hosts of Hashem'—that every single Jew will leave exile through our righteous Moshiach.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that spreading Chassidus brings light to others' lives; each person has G‑d-given strength for this mission. Even small efforts uplift many souls. Especially during times of redemption like Kislev, we must inspire others with faith, unity, and dedication to Torah.
