לאחרי שתיקתו הארוכה נתקבל מכתבו מיום הבהיר הילולא דרשב"י, ונהניתי לקרות בו שלומד עם כתה כפי מסורת אבותינו הק' קמ"ץ אל"ף א, וכידוע קדושת האותיות והנקודות שהם למשה מסיני, וכמובן ופשוט בזהר ובתקו"ז בכמה מקומות, ולא רק האותיות ונקודות עצמן אלא אפילו שמותיהם, וכמובא שם ששמות הנקודות הם ראשי תיבות שמות מלאכים וכו'...

After your long silence, your letter from the bright day of the yahrzeit of Rashbi was received. I was pleased to read that you are teaching a class according to our holy ancestral tradition: kamatz alef A. As is known, there is holiness in the letters and vowel points themselves, which were given to Moshe at Sinai. This is obvious and clear in Zohar and Tikunei Zohar in several places—not only regarding the letters and vowel points themselves but even their names. It is brought there that the names of the vowel points are acronyms for names of angels, etc.
