במענה על מכתבו מו' ניסן והקודם לו. בו כותב אודות מצב בריאות בנו ... שליט"א, ובעת רצון יזכירוהו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ויה"ר שיזכה בקרוב לבשר טוב אודותו. ומהנכון הי' לבדוק את התפילין שלו ושישתדל בדרכי נועם ביחד עם זה ככל היכולת שיניחם בכל יום חול בכל מקום שהוא נמצא, וכידוע שזהו מגן וצנה לאיש הישראלי.
ובמ"ש אודות מצב פרנסתו, ידועה עצת חז"ל להרבות בצדקה, שאז מתקיימת ברכת השי"ת עשר בשביל שתתעשר והמלה להרבות מדוייקת בזה, כיון שצריך להסיר צמצום הצנורות שהיא על ידי תנועה בקצה השני, וע"ד המובא ברמב"ם הלכות דיעות פ"ג ובדוגמת הנהגת האדם דלמטה מעורר זה בהנהגת אדם שעל הכסא כביכול, דמדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה.
בודאי למותר לעוררו על החדרת יראת שמים בתלמידיו וידיעת הלכות הצריכות בחיי היום יומים, כי זה כל האדם, וכמ"ש את מצותיו שמור, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.

In response to your letter from the 6th of Nissan and the one before it.
You write about the health situation of your son ... shlita, and at an auspicious time he will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, and may it be His will that you soon have good news about him.
It would be appropriate to check his Tefillin, and to gently encourage him as much as possible to put them on every weekday wherever he is, as it is known that this is a shield and protection for a Jewish man.
Regarding what you wrote about your livelihood situation: it is well known that our Sages advise increasing in charity, for then the blessing of Hashem "tithe so that you may become wealthy" is fulfilled. The word "increase" is precise here because one must remove the constriction of the channels by making a movement at the opposite extreme, as brought in Rambam Hilchos Deos chapter 3. Similarly, a person's conduct below arouses such conduct Above—measure for measure.
Certainly there is no need to remind you about instilling fear of Heaven in your students and knowledge of practical laws needed for daily life, for "this is the whole person," as it says: "Keep His commandments," and nothing stands in the way of will.
