הישיבה תומכי תמימים בלוד באה"ק ת"ו, כולל עולי רוסיא ועולי אחינו הספרדים, וסניפי' - שנוסדו על ידי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע,
ת"ל גדלה ופרחה בכמות - במספר התלמידים, כ"י - ובאיכות - לימוד התורה והמאור שבה ביראת שמים טהורה ובחינוך התלמידים שי' מתאים לרצון מייסדה.
וככל מילי דקדושה, אשר כפסק תורתנו תורת חיים - מעלין בקודש, הנה עולה הישיבה ומתרחבת, ובפרט בתקופה האחרונה - לרגלי הצורך החיוני לפתוח דלתות הישיבה לרחבה בשביל העולים החדשים, בשביל עולי מארוקו וכו', שהכנסתם לתוך הישיבה הוא ענין של הצלת נפשות ממש שלא ישארו בחוץ ח"ו. וצו השעה ופקודתה היא - להרחיב מקום אהל הישיבה , אהלה של תורה ואהלה של תפלה, ולחזק יסודותיו.
ולמותר להאריך בצוק העתים, אשר, בעוה"ר, הנה דוקא בהיכלי התורה והתפלה שורר הדוחק ביתר שאת וביתר עז. ואם בצער הראשונים אנו מצטערים - על אחת כמה וכמה בצערם של האחרונים, אלה הדופקים על דלתות הישיבה,
אי לזאת נאלצה הנהלת הישיבה תומכי תמימים דלוד לשלוח שד"ר לעורר את אחב"י לבוא לעזרת הישיבה בשעת מצוקה זו,
ונשען על מאמר חז"ל אין מזרזין אלא למזורזין, אלו אחינו בני ישראל אשר לבם ער הוא לתורה ומצותי',
באתי אליהם בשורותי אלו בבקשה כפולה ובזירוז - לקבל את שד"ר הישיבה בסבר פנים הראוי ולהתנדב כיד ה' הטובה עליהם, בעושה ובמעשה, בממונם ובטרחתם, להרים עזרה ממשית ומהירה לישיבת תומכי תמימים בלוד.
וידוע גודל הזכות דהחזקת תורה דרבים, ובפרט החזקת ישיבות ות"ת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, העומד ומשמש במרום ונושא רינה ותפלה בעד כל אחד ואחת מהמשתתפים בעבודתו הק',
אשר השתתפות זו היא צנור וכלי להמשכת וקבלת ברכות השי"ת בכל המצטרך מנפש ועד בשר. והכל לפי רוב המעשה - בריבוי הכלים ריבוי הברכה וההצלחה.

The Tomchei Temimim Yeshivah in Lod, Eretz HaKodesh (may it be rebuilt and established), including immigrants from Russia and our Sephardic brethren, as well as its branches—which were founded by my revered father-in-law the Rebbe zatzal—thank G‑d has grown and flourished both quantitatively—in the number of students—and qualitatively—in Torah study illuminated with pure fear of Heaven and in educating the students in accordance with the founder's will.
And as with all matters of holiness, which according to our Torah—the Torah of Life—must always ascend in holiness, so too the yeshivah is rising and expanding, especially recently due to the vital need to open its doors wider for new immigrants, for those arriving from Morocco, etc., whose inclusion in the yeshivah is literally a matter of saving lives so they do not remain outside G‑d forbid.
The urgent call of the hour is to broaden the space of the yeshivah's tent—the tent of Torah and prayer—and to strengthen its foundations. It is unnecessary to elaborate during these difficult times when unfortunately it is precisely in places of Torah and prayer that hardship prevails most strongly. If we are pained by the suffering of those who came before us, how much more so by that of those now knocking at the yeshivah's doors. Therefore, the administration of Tomchei Temimim Yeshivah in Lod was compelled to send a shadar (emissary) to arouse our Jewish brethren to come to the aid of the yeshivah at this time of distress.
Relying on our Sages' saying: "We only urge those who are already eager," I turn with this letter with a double request and encouragement—to receive the yeshivah's emissary appropriately and to donate generously with action and effort, with your money and your involvement, to provide real and swift help for Tomchei Temimim Yeshivah in Lod.
The great merit of supporting public Torah study is well known—especially supporting yeshivos and Talmud Torahs founded by my revered father-in-law the Rebbe zatzal who stands on high praying on behalf of every participant in his holy work. This participation serves as a channel and vessel for drawing down Hashem's blessings for all one's needs both spiritual and material. And everything depends on increased action—the more vessels there are, the greater the blessing and success.
