Shalom u'Vrachah!

I received your letter from the 5th of Kislev, and it is surprising that since your return here this is the first letter from you. Even in this letter I do not find a sufficient reason for the interruption. I have already written in several letters that the main thing is not the notification but the action itself; however, it is clearly observed that those activists who know that after some days or weeks they will have to report to a certain place or person about their activities—this awakens the revelation of hidden strengths so they can write about actual matters and important actions. Each person needs zeal and advice on how to arouse his own strengths, as is also understood from our Sages' saying: "They only urge those who are already diligent."

Certainly you will utilize the days of the month of Kislev in general, and especially the days of redemption—Yud-Tes Kislev, the fifth candle of Chanukah, and generally all the days of Chanukah—to be involved in strengthening and spreading Chabad matters, especially those connected with Oholei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch in Melbourne. The necessity for this is also understood from the customary blessing of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, for Yud-Tes Kislev: "For a good year in learning Chassidus and following its ways—may you be inscribed and sealed," and may it be G‑d's will that this be with outstanding success.

Convey my regards and blessing as well to all the students whom you teach in your classes; it would also be worthwhile for you to pass this on to those learning in other classes.
