במענה על מכתבו מעש"ק[3], ותנוח דעתו כאשר הניח את דעתי בבשורה הטובה שנראו פירות בהתעמולה בין ילדי העולים, הן בהתנועה להרחקה מן הרע, והן בהענין דועשה טוב, ללמדם תורת ישראל והדרכותי' מתאים לגילם. וכיון שכותב שכר נרחב נראה בזה במחנם הט'[4], כדאי הי' שיתייעצו ביניהם ויעריכו תכנית עכ"פ[5] בשביל השבועות הקרובים, וכמ"ש[6] ותשועה ברוב יועץ[7] וידונו ג"כ[8] על האפשריות להקים שם בית ספר דתי במסגרת הרשת. אף שלכאורה כיון שכבר באמצע זמן הלימודים כמה קישויים בזה. ואולי אפשר לערוך כמין שיעורי ערב וכיו"ב, ואחכה לבשורות טובות.
בודאי מסרו האורחים דאה"ק ת"ו[9] שביקרו כאן, פ"ש[10] שמחה כבקשתי, ואחכה לבשו"ט[11] משמחות גם מהם וכמו שנתדברתי עם האורחים, ומובן שזהו התלוי בהמוסדות ואנ"ש[12] דאה"ק ת"ו, כיון שפשוט שבקשתי לכתוב לי בלי כחל ובלי שרק.
כיון שימי החנוכה וגם י"ט כסלו ממשמשים ובאים, יש מקום לדון בתכנית הנ"ל לנצל גם ימים אלו בהתעמולה.

Greetings and blessing!
In reply to your letter of Erev Shabbos Kodesh: may your mind be at ease, as you have set my mind at ease (cf. "תנוח דעתך שהנחת את דעתי" — Pesachim 32b), with the good news that fruits have been seen from the activity among the children of the immigrants, both in the effort to distance them from evil and in the matter of "and do good" ("סור מרע ועשה טוב" — "Turn from evil and do good" (Tehillim 34:15)) — teaching them the Torah of Israel and its guidance, suited to their age. And since you write that a wide field is apparent for this in that pure community, it would be worthwhile for them to consult among themselves and draw up a program, at least for the coming weeks, as it is written, "ותשועה ברוב יועץ" — "and salvation lies in much counsel" (Mishlei 11:14); and let them also discuss the possibility of establishing a religious school there within the framework of the Reshet (the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch school network), although, on the face of it, since it is already the middle of the school year, there are a number of difficulties in this. Perhaps it is possible to arrange a kind of evening classes and the like. And I await good news.
Surely the guests from the Holy Land, may it be rebuilt and established, who visited here conveyed regards of joy, as I requested; and I await good news of joyful matters from them too, as I discussed with the guests. And it is understood that this depends on the institutions and on Anash of the Holy Land, may it be rebuilt and established, since it is obvious that my request is that they write to me "בלי כחל ובלי שרק" — "without paint or rouge" (cf. Kesuvos 17a), that is, without embellishment.
Since the days of Chanukah and also Yud-Tes Kislev are drawing near, there is room to discuss, in the above program, making use of these days too for the activity.
