עס וואונדערט מיר וואס שוין א ליינגערע צייט אז איך האב ניט באקומען פון אייך קיינע ידיעות, און אויב לויטן אנגענומענעם מנהג, איז דאס א סימן אז אלעס איז בסדר ובשלום, און במילא איז ניטא וואס צו שרייבען, איז דאס אבער אלץ בנוגע ענינים פרטים, אבער בנוגע צו עניני הכלל איז לויט פסק רז"ל דארף זיין מעלין בקדש, במילא איז שטענדיג דא וואס צו שרייבען וועגען די נייע צוגעקומענע זאכען.
און בפרט איצטער אז מיר זיינען ניט לאנג אריין אין דעם נייעם יאר, און מען דארף פון דאס ניי איינשטעלען אלע סדרים און קביעות פון לערנען, און דער וואס השם יתברך האט עם געגעבען א כשרון צו קענען משפיע זיין אויף דעם צווייטען, איז דאס פון זיינע הויפּט אויפגאבען עיקרים ונפשיים.
און בפרט וויל איך מעורר זיין אייך צו פארטזעצען און פארגרעסערען אייערע פארלעזונגען פאר די פרויען, וואס דורך דעם שטארקט מען און מען ווירקט איין צו אויסבעסערען זייער פאמיליען ביהדות בכלל און אויף די ערציהונג פון קינדער זין און טעכטער בפרט, און ווען אפילו די קינדער פירען זיך אויף תורה'דיק, איז אבער ליידער פעלט ברובא דרובא דער וויסען וועגען פילע דינים ומנהגים, און עס פעלט אויך די מוטערס דער וויסען צו קענען ענטפערן אויף פילע פראגען פון קינדער וועלכע ווערען ערוועקט בא קינדער דורך חברים און דורך פערשידענע אנדערע סיבות מסיבות שונות.
די רז"ל האבען שוין אויך געזאגט אז אין מזרזין אלא למזורזין, און דעריבער האף איך צו באקומען פון אייך גוטע בשורות פון דער ענטוויקלונג פון דעם ענין און אויך פון די אנדערע ענינים. און השם יתברך וועט געוויס געבען זיין באלוינונג וועלכע איז מדה כנגד מדה, אבער פילפאכיג מער - א תוספת נר מצוה תורה אור ומאור שבתורה זוהי פנימיות התורה, אין אייער אייגענער משפחה וגם הוא עצמו בכלל.

I am surprised that for quite some time I have not received any news from you, and if according to the accepted custom this is a sign that all is well and peaceful, and therefore there is nothing to write about, this only applies to personal matters. But regarding communal matters, according to our Sages' ruling, one must always increase in holiness; therefore there is always something new to report about recent developments.
Especially now that we have just entered the new year, it is necessary to renew all routines and study schedules. For one whom Hashem has granted the ability to influence others, this is among his main essential tasks.
In particular, I want to encourage you to continue and expand your lectures for women. Through this, one strengthens and improves their families' Judaism in general and especially the education of their sons and daughters. Even when children behave according to Torah, unfortunately in most cases they lack knowledge about many laws and customs. The mothers also lack the knowledge needed to answer many questions from children—questions that arise through friends or various other circumstances.
Our Sages have already said that "one only urges those who are already eager," so I hope to receive good news from you about the development of this matter as well as your other activities.
And Hashem will surely grant His reward—which is measure for measure but many times over: an added Ner Mitzvah Torah Or (the candle of mitzvah is Torah light) and the illumination within Torah—that is the inner dimension of Torah—in your own family as well as for yourself in general.
