Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter delivered by the esteemed student ... shiy', in which you write that you suffer from forgetfulness: Be careful with immersion in the mikveh for purity (the immersion of Ezra), and each day after Shacharit recite a portion of Tehillim—as it is divided according to the days of the month. Before weekday Shacharit prayers, set aside some coins for charity. Establish a fixed time to study that part of Torah about which the Zohar says it is the soul of the Torah; from this it is understood that it also adds vitality to the study of Nigleh of Torah, which is called the body of Torah. Vitality is a remedy for memory, as it is written in Tehillim (31:13): 'Nishkachti k'met mi'lev' ('I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind'), and also review Hilchot Talmud Torah by Rabbeinu HaZaken chapter 2 at the end of section 10. May Hashem grant you success in studying Torah with awe of Heaven.

With blessing, on behalf of the Rebbe shlita, Mazkir
