במענה על מכתבו מא' נשא, בו כותב אודות שלומו ושלום ב"ב שי', הנה יה"ר מהשי"ת שתמיד כל הימים יבשר טוב בהנוגע לכל אחד ואחת מהם, ובפרט לאלו הנמצאים באהלה של תורה, היינו בד' אמות של לימוד התורה, אשר לומדים הם גופא דאורייתא ונשמתא דאורייתא גם יחד, וכמבואר באריכות בזהר הקדוש חלק ג' דף קנ"ב ע"א, עד כמה מוכרח לימוד פנימיות התורה, הנותנת חיות גם בלימוד חלק הנגלה שבתורה וקיום המצות בהידור, עיין שם באריכות, ובביאור עוד יותר בההקדמה של הרח"ו תלמידו של האר"י הקדוש ז"ל לשער ההקדמות. ובפרט לאלו שמוצאם מגזע חסידים, אשר בודאי שנשמות אבותיהם אין להם מנוחה ונחת רוח, כי אם, כשרואים יוצאי חלציהם שומרים הדרכות תורת החסידות ועוסקים בלימודה, והאריכות בדבר הפשוט אך למותר.
ויהי רצון שיוקלט ענין זה בו, ובמילא ימצא האותיות המתאימות איך להסביר את זה לבניו שיחיו, ויה"ר שיזכו לסייעתא דשמיא ויתחילו בזה בהקדם היותר אפשרי, כי הרי בתורה בכלל ובלימוד נשמתא דאורייתא בפרט כל רגע היא אבדה שאינה חוזרת ובשעתא חדא וברגעא חדא אפשר לקנות עולמו. וד"ל.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the first of Naso, in which you write about your well-being and that of your family, may it be the will of the Blessed One that you always have good news regarding each and every one of them. This is especially true for those who are in the tent of Torah—that is, within the four cubits of Torah study—who learn both the body and soul of Torah together. As explained at length in Zohar III, page 152a, it is essential to study the inner dimension of Torah, which brings vitality even to the study of the revealed part of Torah and to performing mitzvos with excellence; see there at length, and an even further explanation in the introduction by Rav Chaim Vital, student of the holy Arizal z"l, to Shaar HaHakdamot.
This applies particularly to those descended from chasidim. Surely the souls of their ancestors find no rest or satisfaction except when they see their descendants following the ways of Chasidic teachings and engaging in its study. To elaborate on this simple matter is unnecessary.
May it be His will that this idea be absorbed by him so that he will find suitable words to explain it to his sons. May they merit Heavenly assistance and begin this as soon as possible—for in Torah generally, and especially in learning its inner soul, every moment lost cannot be regained; in a single hour or even a single moment one can acquire his world. That should suffice.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that learning Chasidus is vital for all Yeshivah students—especially those from chasidic families—as it brings life to all aspects of Torah and mitzvos. Every moment devoted to this study is invaluable and should not be delayed.
