במענה על מכתבו ממוצש"ק והקודם לו, הנה נהניתי מהשיעור שלומד עם בחורים מדי שבת בשבתו, ובלי נדר אזכיר שמותיהם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, בעת רצון, להמצטרך להם בכלל ולהוספה בשיעורים בתורת הנגלה ובתורת החסידות, שעי"ז יתוסף בברכות השי"ת והצלחתו בהמצטרך להם.
בשאלתו בפירוש הנפש החיונית, הנה בכלל הכוונה בנפש החיונית להנפש שאודותה מדובר בפרק א' דתניא שמתחלקת לנפש השכלית ונפש הבהמית, יעיין בזה בהערות לתניא עמוד פ"א ובהמקומות שנסמנו שם.
בהנוגע לאותם מהנ"ל שהולכים לצבא בעוד חצי שנה, ורצונם בקשר עם זה, הנה כיון שהוא בעוד חצי שנה עדיין מוקדם זה.
בנוגע להשגת ספרי תניא וספרי לימוד בכלל בזול, הנה יפנה בזה לצעירי אגודת חב"ד, כי אין להכפיל הענינים, ומכמה טעמים צריכים לרכזם, והוא יהי' הממוצע והב"כ דצעירי אגו"ח בהנוגע להנ"ל.
כבקשתו אזכיר על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע במיוחד את בנם יוסף יצחק שליט"א, ושמא מילתא היא, ויה"ר מהשי"ת שיגדל להיות ירא שמים חסיד ולמדן, ויגדלוהו עם שאר ילידיהם שיחיו לתורה ולחופה ולמעשים טובים.

In response to your letter from Motzaei Shabbat Kodesh and the one before it, I was pleased to hear about the class you teach with the young men every Shabbat. Without a vow, I will mention their names at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may his merit protect us), at an auspicious time, for all their needs in general and for increased study in both revealed Torah and Chassidus. Through this, there will be added blessings from Hashem and success in all they need.
Regarding your question about the meaning of the vitalizing soul: In general, it refers to the soul discussed in chapter 1 of Tanya, which is divided into the intellectual soul and the animal soul. Please see this explained further in the notes to Tanya on page 81 and in the sources referenced there.
Concerning those mentioned above who are going into the army in half a year and their desire regarding this: since it is still half a year away, it is too early to address now.
Regarding acquiring Tanya books and study books in general at a low price: please turn to Tzeirei Agudas Chabad for this matter. There is no need to duplicate efforts; for several reasons these matters should be centralized. He will serve as intermediary and representative of Tzeirei Aguch regarding these issues.
As you requested, I will mention at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may his merit protect us), especially your son Yosef Yitzchak shlita. Perhaps this itself is significant. May it be G‑d's will that he grow up to be G‑d-fearing, a chassid and a scholar; may you raise him along with your other children for Torah, marriage, and good deeds.
